You can't go on another server as long as your character is still on the previous server. Hell, it even curb server hopping. 30 minutes.

why even detecting that you are in combat or not, just make the character remain in game for half an hour no matter what the reason for logging out is. Problem solved.

Consider it as an opportunity to be free again from the fear of losing your gear. An opportunity to play a completely different character, there is so many different ways to approach the game, try something new now!

Roguelikes tend to make you apreciate the journey and not focus so much on character advancement as an end, but rather as a mean to amusement. As a result, death isn't so much a punishment but an opportunity to try something different.

1. What would you do in pvp "out" ? aquire gear? no, sorry gear aquisition is conditional to competing with other players. 2. Somethings are not really obvious, is it food poisoning, is it a gastro enteritis? not the same, very similar symptoms. 3. At the same time without a private hive there is no real way to dictate to server ops what they are allowed to do. I think that's important for the dayZ team to remain in creative control of their project and that we do not assist to a balkanisation of the servers.

Yeah, it removes the slight stuttering that is caused by chernarus streaming from disk. Not a silver bullet tho, but very enjoyable if you are in vehicles.

Or non existent really, i have a lot of trouble imagining m249 wielding maniacs in a non military setting. And i'm not counting gun shows because that's not exactly a good rendition of a zombie apocalypse/shit hit the fan setting. Also.. rare is a very difficult thing to assess, even things that where rare in the mod became stupidly common because people maximize their "chances" to find rare loot through loot cycling, server hopping, and player killing. A good gun never really disappear once it has been looted from the RNG.

Yeah if you meet someone, have the upper hand and decide not to befriend i would suggest taking their bullets (or gun) if you can before letting them go.

I'm okay with realistic weapons but that doesn't mean an insensible weapon selection, you can pick weapon designs that are inherently balanced. And by balanced i mean, weapons that have advantages and inconveniences that make the game interesting. ex: double barreled shotgun?, revolver? yes please. belt fed m249 with 4x scope? Ughhh.

VAC is a protection against advanced cheat techniques such as DLL injections, it will not protect against flaws built in the game itself but it will protect from "outside" threats. I don't think DayZ SA currently does any cheat prevention on the inside, it's still in development tho, it would most likely get in the way.
