All I'm saying is why would you take any risks really? Also a coward's fear for his own safety override a potentially good action. What you qualified as such is really about not giving the other player a fighting chance, but why would you, this isn't an e-sport kind of game. Plus he is carrying MY stuff, doesn't matter if he found it, it's mine, this also secure future items he might "steal" from me :)

It's more like "Does it matter?" you are going in for the kill, not to have a gentleman's duel. Same with players.

Can you explain why lowering price would be the priority of any business? Each server rented has administrative (managing misbehaving admins) and technical (hardware, network, hive, DDoS and other attacks) overhead, you have to balance your price based on how many servers you wish to have running at a given point in time. -
Hunting is a recreational activity, even hunting long pigs.

Because by renting a private shard you need your own hive database? Because you opt out from helping to balance the main hive, that has a cost? Because they want to make it less attractive than the main hive? -
Why? What does it add to the gameplay. (And if you say realism you don't understand what gameplay is)

I think you have an overly dramatic view on wounding, too many slasher movies IMHO. Not every game is trying to crank the shock value to 11 like soldier of fortune did. Everything has a cost in making a game, procedural wounding is complex and is the (only?) selling point of the sniper elite franchise. -

Doesn't mention what this level of participation is really, giving feedback and suggestion isn't really being at the center of the decision process.

DayZ IS a dictatorship, while the devs may listen to suggestions they have no obligations to cater to them if they think that they know better, after all you bought the game for what they where gonna do with it, not for what you thought they should do.
