    Green mountain...

    Never heard of it....*shifty eyes*
  2. My suggestion is: Matches and knives should be WAY more prolific ingame. Matches are usually the last item I find, even after days of wandering and searching. Knives I find a bit more often, but still they are rare (compared to goddamned HATCHETS!!!!) No word of a fucken lie...I raided a barn and there were 8 motherfucken hatchets in it....I know because I went around and counted them twice....Come on codey dudes...really? This is really unrealistic. Every single house would have a boatload of knives and definitely a box of matches or two (or orther forms of fire-starting equipment -but it's easier to just code more matches.) These are both things along with watches, that Z's could have on them as loot. Come on, who carries a can of pasta around with? (don't get me wrong, I LIKE having the Z's having usable loot on them, but if I went out and randomly mugged somebody...what would they be likely to be carrying...a watch? a pocket knife? a lighter/box of matches? a can of pasta?) Disclaimer: I know it's Alpa, I'm being patient blah blah

All Players Teleported To One Location All At Once!

Happened to me last night on US#00....The entire server pop was transported to a beach where an enormous gunfight broke out. I lasted .001 of a second. I assumed it was all the players just started blasting one another, but maybe it was an orchestrated hack/ambush.
  4. Today I murdered Jeff. Sorry mate, but the truth is, I have no idea how to identify a bandit, and you looked nasty, so I killed you. Then MURDER came up and I was like OMFG I'M SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!. I normally don't shoot other players...even those it's got me killed a few times. You were just above the tents at Stary and I think you might have been providing overwatch for a mate (who I think I saw crawling away towards the barns)...but then my puter took a dump and I had to quit. Didn't even get to loot your body. So....anyway...if there any way to ID bandits?
  5. Your first paragraph is an EXCELLENT point. Once you get grouped-up, you no longer need to go thru the survivor grind of finding all your gear...Just go to the group stock pile and resume popping noobs.
  6. You could make bolts take up 2 slots, but stackable to 20....It's not like there's millions of them around anyway. I don't even bother taking a crossbow even if I have nothing else...I find it impossible to aim for a headshot with any certainty, and I'm gonna drop it the minute I find a hatchet anyway.

Glitchy zombies and no loot spawning

Just wandered through the NW airfield.....ZERO loot. Not a can. Nothing at all in hangers or barracks. Didn't check the control tower because there was a dick standing on top of it with his binos out. Ver: 1.7.2 One of the Aus servers.

    Bragging rights. :D

I've only really met one bandit. Some guy popped out in front of me while I was in the big radio tower and tagged me a couple of times...I snap shot back at him purely on reflex and got a lucky hit with my .45 which knocked him out....I didn't realise he was only knocked out so I was clearing the rest of the level when I notice him moving about and reaching for his gun, so I double tapped him. The most annoying part was that he sank out of sightbefore I could search him.

    Progress NOT saved

This happened to me many times today. Mostly around Stary and the town SE of it.

    Zombie respawn time too fast

If that's correct then woorking as a team is conterproductive...isn't it.? I will also testify to the overly fast respawning of Z's...Was at a Heli crash site with 6 Z';s around me...popped one which got too close for comfort and then a minute or so later when I went to exfil, I was spotted and chased a few hundred meters by the rest, which I killed...only to look over at the Heli and see more pop into existence. The respawn rate should be a matter of hours imho (many will disagree), rather than seconds.

    A reason to LIVE!!

So I've kinda got the game figured out. I'm pretty well kitted out. AKM, a million rounds, 400+ kills under my belt....Now what? I'm basicly running around waiting to die. I figured there needs to be a 'higher' purpose to all this. You can say 'survival, but if that was the case, I'm actually already self-sufficient with the stuff I collected...No need to venture near the dangerous places any more. I WIN!!!!!!!4!!!! So 'what if' there was a way OFF the island? A settlement that is a group of players who are working to repair a ship/cargo plane/sub that will be the ultimate escape from the island? A REASON TO LIIIIIVE!!!! THIS could be the reason for survivors to work together. Freshies wouldn't be accepted into the 'settlement' immediately...They must collect a certain amount of 'stuff' before they are accepted. Once in, they have a common goal. Firstly to collect the day to day stuff (food etc) for the camp...Plus trying to hunt down and gather scrap and parts that will be used to repair the 'escape vehicle'. Possibly some of those parts are so hard to get at due to hostiles, that it would take a large group to achieve it? Maybe the Settlement needs to be guarded from Z's that swarm it from time to time? Maybe you get points/currency for the stuff you bring back to camp...Maybe you can use this to buy/trade better stuff? Maybe your contributions to the final success or failure of the settlement is calculated during the course of the game...Plus points for items/food/weapons scavanged. Minus points for deaths, murders, etc. Anyway....Just a random collection of thoughts towards fleshing the game out. Don't know if any of they are doable, or feasible, or interesting to anyone else, but you are welcome to my 2 cents.
  12. I know where you are coming from. It is VERY hard to sneak around all the Z's in the coastal towns and it can be frustrating a anything. Stop doing that. Use this map http://dayzmap.info/ and PLAN what you want to do and how you want to do it. Circle towns and get in and out. You should be spending 95% of your time in the country. City life will kill you quick Hatchet is an AWESOME weapon. Don't be afraid to let a Z walk right up to you as you are lying in the grass. Be still, then whack him, the other Z's are oblivious...perfect. Enterable buildings are your saviour...They are the only reliable way to ditch aggro'ed Z's, or to fight them and win. Z's move slow inside, so if you get them riled up and chasing you, head for a barn or something you can enter, they will slow down inside where you can either pick your shots, or exit again and get some distance between you so they lose sight. Don't fight them in the open. If you do get one all flustered and after your ass, drag him away from his pals without getting the others interested....THEN try to kill him. If you fight in the town or near other Z's they'll notice and join in. So before you enter a town...know where you will run to if you get sprung. If there is nowhere in the town to run to, why are you going in there?
