All we can do is hope that Rocket and the team have got in contact with Battleye to try and do something about this. Unfortunately its going to be a while before we see anything done. Im scared to play on any NZ servers now. -
Some of the hackers over the last two days... ANZ 3 Mass teleportation. NZ 2 Nuking. NZ 9 invisible players. NZ 16 Helicopters, 6 or so A-10s. NZ 24 Helicopters, A-10s, Teleporting. NZ3, Mass teleporting. NZ 6 teleporting in the air NZ 23 ported into bear traps. These all seem to be happening around NZ time 8-9ish. Someone is seriously targeting the NZ and AUS servers. Its getting to the stage where its too risky to play. Please reply to this thread any more noticed hacking over the last day or so.

The next patch due this week will allow tracking of a;t+f4 abusers, he has stated they will receive a global ban from all servers. On top of that hes looking at re-implementing a fixed 5 second log out timer. Good game you cheating dick heads.

Rocket, love the patch. Thank you for your continued work. Keep up with the plan to monitor log in/log out and ban the offenders. Please keep work toward a 5 second log out timer though, as I believe that will curb the problem more than any other solution.

So over the last 3 or 4 days me and my friends have been living up north around the NWAF and that general area. We've played well as a close nit team and got the jump on at least 15-20 people. Every single person we've fought has disconnected. Every. Single. One. We play slow, we play tactically, and the only 'reward' we get is watching our enemies vanish into thin air. It really does suck. This is the most infuriating thing ever. Worse than random death glitches, worse than hackers, worse than any other bug in this game. I read that Rocket is 'working on this' this week, but by the looks of it its not going to be a log out timer which is really the only good solution. I also know that a logout timer was implemented a few patches ago but quickly removed - what problems did it cause? I know this problem is known about, but I can't help but feel it is being under-represented on these forums. Please share your d/c stories/complaints here. We need this to have more attention. Edit: We know its alpha, we know we what not to expect, but to be perfectly honest even in its current state WITHOUT the d/c exploit we could play this game for a very long time without complaint. This one exploit though is ruining the entire experience. This isn't a mindless complaint, we are all VERY thankful for the work Rocket and the team do for this mod. We really just want to see and end to this exploit.

Thanks for the incorrect assumption. I have played CS since beta. I'm VERY capable of 'getting epic headshots'. But you mistake this game for a COD-like FPS. Me and my squad regularly engage people at over 300m away, we have a compliment of 2x M16 1x FAL and an M249 support gunner. We lay a lot of rounds down at central body mass, we don't have a designated marksman yet. There is no way we can get 'epic headshots' at those ranges with those guns. Even with a sniper rifle I very much doubt anyone could do that easily on a moving target. Anyway, your stupidity aside, 'being bad at this game' is no excuse for the rampant retardedness of alt+f4. As soon as the first bullet leaves our weapons the opfor are vanishing. Edit: we are all very experienced in shooters for probably longer than you've been alive. -

He means the game doesn't provide 'fun' people make their own 'fun' from playing. Hell, I've had the most 'fun' I've ever had playing Day Z. But its not the games focus. The games focus is survival. It can be brutal and not fun at all. -

The solution Rocket is working on goes a little something like this: When they identify people logging to avoid death they are going to put a log out timer on their character to punish them. If they continue to do it they are going to be warned and then killed. The problem I see with that is that people will just continue to d/c (how many times will this take? 5?) then when they get the warning, they will quit playing for the night. Then they'll start it up again the next day. Obviously I'm assuming here, but to me it doesn't really seem like a solution. -

Yeah you won't see changes till the standalone. What Rocket just said in his latest interview is that he also wanted islands. So you'd be crossing between islands on boats etc. I think that sounds awesome.

No problem. The current engine can already handle maps double the size up to about 450km2 I believe.

I love that so many people seem to live in a world where 'so many people are leaving' translates into almost 700,000 unique players, and 150,000 players in the last 24 hours - both of which are increasing steadily. edit: My mistake, already 701,000 unique players. -
Yep, they definitely plan to increase the map size, and the server size to about 200 people.
