There is no such thing as 'camping'. ARMA2 is a MILITARY SIMULATOR, Day Z is a SURVIVAL SIMULATOR. Rocket has gone as far to call Day Z an 'anti-game'. Stop crying about 'campers' and 'snipers' and do better recon work. Also, stop crying about 'one shot snipers'. Thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard. This is not Call of Duty. If the gun readily dispatches a person in real life in one bullet, then it will be reflected in the game. The game is what it is, like it or leave it just stop crying.

This is a horrible idea. OP please stop posting about it. The game is still VERY small, and it is VERY early. Do you really want to fracture the entire community? Because doing what you're suggesting would do just that. Rocket, don't listen to this idiot. If anything, and as you seem to want to do, mod it into Arma 3 with the view to make it a stand-alone game. This doesn't need mod support. Thanks. Edit: Oh OP just left to make his own game. Please tell me how often you think that this, in a 30 second window where the effected player is vunerable to death, is going to happen? You really think that this tiny amount of people being disadvantaged is more important than the HUGE amount of people being effected by this horrible practice?

Sorry that my first reply was douchey, but it is accurate. The main appeal of this game is freedom, and adding some gamey solution to attempt to resolve this is a really bad idea. The only possible way is to think of a system that accurately portrays real life and can work seamlessly in the game. A little off topic, but one of the main reasons trust is 'hard' in this game is a lot of trust can be read of peoples expressions, mannerisms, and right down to watching their hands as they reach for their guns - unfortunately this sort of thing is impossible until we get some matrix level virtual reality, which unfortunately will be something our children get to enjoy as we will most likely be dead by then.

Well this loaded the beta properly for me now, its displaying the correct version, and I can join the beta server. However, soon as I get to the lobby, im instantly removed back to the server browser for no apparent reason. -"You can not play/edit this mission. It is dependant on downloadable content that has been deleted" -Now i believe dayz isnt loading properly.

Updated, game loads fine with the 'beta' label. However, still cant join the beta aussie server. It wont let me, says 'incompatible version' or something. Still has the red cross next to the server name too. Sigh.
