Thought this was meant to have been made impossible with the whole network bubble thing. Was just playing with my friends, all our guns automatically were put away, then we were teleported throughout the map and executed. I'm sure you guys are aware, but just thought I'd post this thread incase it was not well known.

Whilst I agree with you to some extent, the fix to this problem is not pasting three barracks on the shore where people spawn. That makes no logical sense. Sure add a few more military locations up north just which are just as good as the NWAF. But don't put them on the shore. -

I completely agree. The way it worked in the mod was great. You had to gear up a little bit down south, grabbing something like a winchester, food + water, and then make the epic journey north. Having M4's spawning in the highest value buildings which are now located AT PLACES WHERE PEOPLE SPAWN is a really bad design decision. It removes a lot of the amazement of EARNING a military grade weapon It enables more people really early into their lifespan to obtain military grade weapons with ease It removes the "epicness" of travelling north, braving danger and death to obtain said weaponry. It makes famous flashpoints of NWAF and the like all but a distant memory. I'm completely geared from Balota alone. (On another note, why on Earth did you remove the military tents from Stayr? That was a stepping stone into NWAF in terms of excitement/danger/reward.) -
And still forcing the game to close is a viable strategy for avoiding death... I really hope this is fixed for standalone. Also: Heheh...

Day Z is based on a military simulator. If there was ever a time to 'train' it would be for a game like this. I really can't see how you are all missing this point. I would love to see any of you stand up to a team that works together flawlessly, and perform precision fire and maneuver, while your bunch of weekend warriors are all screaming on skype as they get executed one by one. You can bet your beans they will tear you up every time.

Love the new information, thanks all for the hard work. Sadly, I have to agree with this post. If avoiding the initial rush of people complaining about the quality of the game is a priority, especially after the [game that shall not be named] fiasco, things like this should be very high on the list, and a definite before release. -
Twitter: I'm Virus @ESGVirus Well, I'm actually expecting the standalone to be released mid-April, around 1 year after the mod release. Dean Hall @rocket2guns well I sure hope its before that.... I'll be on my way to Mt Everest from 1 April - 1 June :) So that's a good clue Keep this in mind before predicting 8-9 months before the SA is released...

Rocket has stated they will 'try' to fix this in standalone. Don't get your hopes up. Rocket2Guns @thebluerising That is part of the considerations, we'll be trying those sorts of things during our technology tests
