Nowyoudie (DayZ)

Holy necro thread batman. Hellstalker - the game doesn't even know how to use two video cards. SLI is pointless and you get better FPS with one card (unless that changed.) To the OP - I run 2560x1440 (100% scaling) with normal settings. No issues here with GTX 680, you're going to be just fine. Although I dip in 30 FPS when going through Svetlojarsk but still playable. In fact I encourage you to get 1440p.

...have absolutely no chance in this game, do they? Normally I play on low pop servers because it's easier to avoid people. But I was hitting my 3rd week with my character, I decide to go on a server with maxed out slots. I wound up in an office building on the third floor where a player with a Mosin pointed towards me for about 10 seconds before he drops me. He goes, "sorry dude you didn't respond to me through 2 floors so i had 2 shoot". There's no way of knowing if someone's trying to talk to me over the mic if I waltz into places like an innocent Japanese schoolgirl. This was on hardcore. My normal character is 4 months old, still alive and kicking, got shot at several times and escaped because I zigzagged out of rash situations. Hearing aids are kinda expensive...

@Lady Kyrah, I'm in a guild as a core raider for our 10 man group. I'm the only deaf one, therefore I can't use vent, but I study fights and they trust me on that and we're 5/14 on heroic progression in the current content. I'm able to take down an entire squad single handedly in BF4. I defuse and rescue hostages and take on the last 2-3 terrorists while being the last one alive on my team in Counterstrike: GO. I'd like to think that I'm a decent player as a deaf person but DayZ surely is in a completely different league. I'll have to convince one of my hearing friends to play with me and Skype with them on my secondary monitor so that I would have a better chance on higher pop servers.

@kichilron, I'll be sure to check it out. @ThaMac, I'm not looking for pity, just a minor rant. When I realized I was being held up, I was like a deer in front of headlights. I was typing, but I don't think he liked how my character was doing the "lean right and left" dance that some letters cause you to do while typing, and I was shot before I could finish. :P

Really HrkiGV? The point is that I need an interpreter alongside me when I play DayZ. :P

Wow, nice vid. Was this on a server with 40 players on it? I rarely run into people there for some reason. I tend to run into people in cities more often.

Nice video. I've always wanted to try playing with a SKS (I've only had experience with going from an M4 to the Mosin, so I never got to play with an SKS) and get the feeling for it but I barely find any ammo for it. Until I started playing experimental, I got ahold of a SKS and a 10 round clip in a building at the NW airfield. I killed two players and a couple of zombies in the same sitting, and found some more ammo later on but was surprised to see that I was only able to chamber the rifle, instead of putting 10 rounds in it as I had hoped to.

Far less servers today, that's for damn sure... Was excited since last night there were 8 experimental servers in the US and now there's none left. -____-

I'm the one who found your stash and hot-wired the vehicle. I don't remember what type your vehicle was, but it really sucked on the MPG.

I kill anyone that is dressed up as a bandit. If I see survivors I run away immediately. I have 5 real life friends who play this with me too so they are the only ones I trust. I cannot risk walking close to a survivor because I may be the first person he's met, and then shoot me for my beans or the Lee Enfield that's sticking out of my back.
