kaz (DayZ)

This has happened to me numerous times. Whenever i loot a body, i have to stay around for a very long time for the items to save. I've lost silenced m4's, sniper rifles, etc.

Server it happened on: US 729 - Hosted by (Faith).RU Time it happened : 7:57 PM Pacific Time What Happened : Saw at least 3 or four different players that were dying within 2 or 3 seconds or their last death. Names like (but not exactly) "[Faith] HelloKitty" and "alex." After about 10 seconds of this, the server jumped to being very laggy, and all or a sudden every entity (players, animals, vehicles) started to fall from the sky in an unknown location( I now know it was Elektro, as I logged in and my friend and I were directly nest to each other). I (Kaz) and my friend(Acoliet) attempted to disconnect as quickly as possible, but we are unsure if we died or not. Thanks for checking into this!

Server - US 45 Time - about 4:00 PM Pacific time zone What happened - I had just logged in near the military tents in Cherno, when I heard this Jet-like noise nearby. I obviously started panicking, and ran to the roof of the nearest hospital. I spent about 10 minutes on the roof, looking around to see if there were any planes, but there weren't any in the sky. After about 5 minutes, I saw someone by the grain silos floating down on a parachute. Once I saw that, I waited for a few more minutes, then went back to the tents to see if any loot had spawned(all the while, the jet noises were very loud, and were constantly fluctuating, like somebody was flying back and forth). After looting the military area, I climbed up on the roof of the factory, and saw a pile of light glider/jets near the silos, on the railroad tracks. I tried to take a couple of screenshots, but the game lost 'em. Here's to another cheater hopefully banned!

so, saving a tent(or vehicle) means that it will stay around indefinitely, sans glitches or other players? If you haven't visited them, how do you know they're there? ;)

OK, i'm new to the forums, so LMK if this is in the wrong place. I read the wiki, and it stated that camping tents despawn "6+ days" after the owner's death. Does that apply only if it hasn't been saved, or do all tents despawn some amount of time after their owner has died? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having tents? Thanks, -Kaz
