Other odd things happening...zombies appearing for a split second smacks me and then vanishes. This is happening in confined buildings - like the military tents. Scares the hell out of me when it happens :) Also, on US 314 - I shot a sheep, gutted it and just as I was taking meat I teleported into a spot with about 20 other survivors with more spawning in every second. As they all panicked asking wtf this was I logged off to get out of a potential blood-bath. Seconds later, lots of people were dying. Logged back in to find my second weapon gone again and I was stood next to my dead sheep unable to loot the meat from it.

So now the CZ 550 vanished and my assualt rifle remains...seems to be the weapon in your backpack just vanishes.

Would this explain why I'm anable to get meat from animals I'm gutting at the moment? Are they really other players that have been glitched lol Thats awesome....but im hungry.

Same happened to me checked here and going prone then rolling worked for me :D It wasn't a high rock though just some random field rock so I'm lucky no broken bones.

3:10 PM here is Nova Scotia and i'm unable to connect to any servers with the naughty server rejection message. Update your servers already! Even the 95170 servers give the same message - whats the server version I should be looking for?

IM having this problem too. Run into a town, first house nothing, second nothing - even the supermarket completely bare not even a tin can. Logging off and back on doesnt fix it either. Upate...logging off and back you lose half your stuff. IM back to a previous weapon with half my cool gear missing.

Not sure these have been mentioned elsewhere but a few simple ideas: * Able to wear the chest pack with any other backpack to boost carrying capacity * When you drink a can of soda, the empty can should remina in you inv for throwing to confuse z's * Weapons with night vis / heat vis should also have a vanilla scope on them * The ingrediants and means to make pipe bombs, mines etc. * Let people build fishing rods and fish in ponds / lakes * Wild animals which attack you - like bears, cougars etc.

The config.bin error is seperate to the loading screen thing I think...at least for me I get it allot and the game continues on fine.

Lost my Ghillie and stuff with the new patch...not for the first time ( ..) What is it with Ghillie suits vanishing for one of the rarest finds in the game it should be high on the agenda right? Choosing to wear civ clothing in the hopes the suit was still there does nothing apart from reset all the kill stats to zero. Also sure I had a better backpack than the 8 slot Coyote one. First building I sneaked up to a z heard me through the wall and slowly came to investigate - felt harsh but it was slow getting out and I moved away. Went across the town in crouchy sneaky mode and a z ran at me from miles away whilst i was shift crouch walking into a hut...ran with a gang of z's on me turned to take them on...2 hits I was knocked out and taken down to just over 200 blood. Logged before I could be bothered to see the outcome. I'm out of this until a hotfix lands/its fun to play again.

Atlanta 124 has restarted multiple times today without any warning at all and I joined that one because other servers were doing the same. Pretty sure the server isn't crashing 6 to 7 times per day. Yes it is annoying when this happens and as im just getting to grips with the game its even more frustrating - but this seems to be some sort of auto restart thing its happening at the same sort of interval each time. I've played on servers which do give warnings sure and kudos to those admins - I'm not accusing all admins of this, just some, so cool your beans...jesus people are so quick to rage.

My first proper game of Day Z has left me questioning my morals. I tentatively explore a few barns, find some ammo for various weapons I can only dream of finding, cans of pop and an axe. I follow a road into what looks like warehouses to find a load of dead soldiers strewn about...worried, I run off across a field only to hear loudly "Stop running or I'll shoot!". Obviously, I stop running. Just beside me is a guy brandishing an AK - its sights aimed right at me. I don't know what to do, I don't even know how to use chat! "Do you speak? Say something. Use chat. Anything. Come on buddy I'll shoot you." Still, that doesn't help I don't know how to use these features. "Caps lock if you speak buddy you have 5 seconds." I hit caps lock as fast as I can and shout "Im cool Im cool Im unarmed dont shoot!". What follows is a pleasant discussion about Day Z, how I shouldn't run around aimlessly and should try to let people know where I am and what I'm doing. This guy was cool. He teaches me how to use some stuff and runs me around a bit. I learn from him. I learn how to approach settlements and look after myself. He spots another player in danger and tries to help but its too late, she dies. This guy is a good'un. We come across a rabbit and he explains that if I had a hunting knife I could get meat from it. I tell him all I have is an axe.... Being as helpful as he ever was, he tells me how to arm myself with it. "There you go!" He exclaims with joy "Now you're ready to defend yourself until you get a gun". I spend the next 15 mins running around with him, but something is eating away at me. I have an axe. He has an AK and god knows what else in that back pack of his. I find myself running along with him, weaving in and out of his path with my finger hovering over the mouse button. You can't do this I think to myself. This is a good guy. "Holy shit! Zombies! Lots of em!" He swings around wildly looking for them and I bare down on him with my axe swinging like a deranged psychopath. I don't know why he didn't fire. Maybe he didn't really have a clue what was happening, but for what seemed like an eternity I smashed him him with my axe. So, now I have an AK and a backpack of food, ammo and water. But as i sit there munching on a steak and stroking my shiny AK...I am haunted by the image of this guy and have an overwhelming feeling of guilt. Maybe I should head out and try to help some players to make up for it...
