How about if you are underfire when you log out it's an instakill? Maybe the same mechanic that controls direct communication could be made to work with this? I'm not sure how hard the coding for this would be. But, stopping people from bailing on a fight would be good. As for loot hoppers, easy fix. All loot is removed on spawn in the server within a certain distance. Big enough area to annoy the hoppers and make them less likely to do it, but not so much to effect other payers near the area that have been playing. Maybe 200 meters or so.
What about something like RC cars or trucks. If you can find the parts, you can make one that works and strap a small bomb to it. Drive it down a main street and agro the zombies. Once you get a pack chasing, you stop and let them group around it. Then, BOOM! easy way to clear an area of zeds. At least for a bit. And sure would be entertaining to watch. Kinda stole the idea from Tremors 2.
What about other ways to take it out? Like adding small explosives. As long as they can be remote detonated, the noise should not be a huge issue. In fact, a selection of small clearing charges that can be found or made plus larger ones for destroying larger targets would be great. Maybe even some form of tripwire based IED's. People would run around a lot less if they thought they may trip over a wire and blow them selves up.
Hello. I think I will be making this server my home since the time is offset so far to make it daylight when I get home from work. Since I keep getting my but handed to me and have only managed to find a single gun in the couple days of play, I was hoping to find some fellow survivors to help me out or even bring me into the group. I have TS if that helps, but no skype. I want to try and stay on a single server and not have to hop around. Thanks in advance.
