Well, I did play trying to be friendly, current death count tonight ended at 19 before I put this post up. It's truly that bad, 17 of those deaths were under the name "FRIENDLY SURVIVOR". It is sad, yet true. This is currently impossible to play on without some friends from previous games. The chance of finding someone who doesn't want to shoot you on sight is about the same as finding a cz 550 at your spawn point. (I did find one on a corpse once on the coast, probably another victim of the "shoot-on-sight, no loot tonight!" philosophy that has taken over this game. I've also never encountered a hacker in the game, I've played for at least 6 hours a day for the past 16 days. I'm done replying to trolls. = Walter White.

This would only work if you really did it just like, the movie "Battle Royale" did it. Explosive collars. The zones (I presume the squares on the map) around the map are detonation zones and every 20 minutes, another zone gets added one square inside of the outer zones, the zones go left to right until all that's left is Chernogorsk. If a player is in a zone for longer than 5 minutes, their head explodes. Making a larger spawn of zombies would just crash a server and at least with collars, you could deem the whole zombie outbreak thing as a fucked up experiment.

It's the fucking undetectable bandits and lack of a global/side chat that's caused this mess. I can't team up with anyone because I get shot on sight and I've got no way of arranging a meeting without a chat system.

:huh: Are server admins allowed to restart the server to remove all other players and then limit the number of players to (in this case 4) so that they can play with just their close friends? In this case, me and a few friends were playing on "UK #31 - n00baphile's Candy Land" and then all of sudden we all lost connection (we were meeting up to head north and establish a base somewhere), the server had been restarted. When we came back to find the server only had 5 slots instead of 50 (as it always has) two of us were able to get into the 5 slot game again, only for the server to restart again and force us to lose connection. After that the slots dropped to 4 players and then I kept refreshing waiting for the server to restore to 50 slots, I saw the stages "waiting", "setting up" and "playing" appear, I took a screenshot in the six launcher and the filter settings for ArmA2 - they're below. It's kind of annoying that they are able to do that, I was in a server literally 10-15 minutes before which was shutdown (not restarted) moments after I picked up a remington(flashlight) shotgun. (which I did not keep after entering n00baphile's server). :dodgy:

You shouldn't also be able to abort from a server, join another one, heal/move, then rejoin the other server (I suggest there be a 20 minute server wait that activates when you leave a server, join another and then return to the other server, to discourage hoppers.) This bug should be a primary focus for fixing, playing the game is becoming impossible as more and more people are "thinking" that it's a part of the game, when it's not. I honestly may never enjoy the game on the same level as I first did before I encountered such faggotry.

I'd love to see voice implemented over long distance using a handheld radio that takes up the secondary slot. I'd also love it if other players could hear you using the radio if they are within direct communication range and don't have a radio. So you could make plans over radio and then some noob with an axe hears you and like decides to get there first/set an ambush/get the loot/vehicle.

In fact, the very same information is IN THIS PART OF THE FORUM. It's too bad you already paid for the server, it states in the forum sticky section that most server applications will get denied because of hardware limitations and due to the mod being Alpha/to prevent cheating. I'm just saying this to save you money - you don't seem intelligent enough to run a server nor do you seem interested enough to bother searching prior to making a thread and wasting your money on a month of server use (that you probably won't use on Day Z), please refrain from making a Day Z server as it would be a very bad server to play on as I highly doubt you have the attention capacity to restart the server every 4-6 hours or correctly configure the server. And I mean this is the nicest possible way - you're an idiot.

Oh, ok then, sorry, it's just there was no explanation about why it went off and it seemed like (to me and my friends) that you guys were just playing privately to make it easier on yourselves finding loot. I'm sorry for jumping to such a conclusion as cheating. I noticed the number of players went down from 50 to 30 so I entirely believe you. For much of our group Candy Land is like a home server, we play on it whenever we can, but when it went down we set up a hard core base in another server so we won't be back for 1-2 days until the fencing and such disappears or our base is raided/vehicles stolen/tents destroyed.

I think there's a way to remove barbed wires - hidden vehicles? Your responsibility for finding them. That's how the game works. Just like every other server. Removing barbed wires can be done with hand grenades (easily acquired from soldier zombies and deer stands). Another method (this is what I've been told by a random player) is having an entrenchment pack which gives the option to dismantle/destroy wire fencing.
