I'd maybe you first person if it wasn't so damn clunky. I absolutely hate firs person in this game, and i do play first person shooters all the time. But man. I think it has to do with the WAY you put you gun down when you sprint and just over all how the guns look/camera position is in first person. But make it move more like battlefield 3 or even, I hate to say this on here, like COD and I would happily play. But I do also love 3rd person. So what if you get an advantage around a corner. The other person can do the same thing. And with the standalone coming out with al of the customization options, I WANT it to be 3rd person also. I want to see what I'm wearing!

Just as the title says. I think it would be cool if passengers could shoot out of the side of a car or heli. Maybe add an option to "roll window down." Then you could have people choose between a bulletproof window (assuming you have one) or being ableto shoot back. You could even have it so you could only use a pistol. I don't think this would be to hard to implement, and it would give the car better defense instead of having to step outside to shoot back.

Dayz Commander. That's all you need. Then make sure you installed it all correctly and make sure you run Arma2 and CO at least once.

Thanks TIC321. Also Krihelion, im not saying that you put your whole body hanging out of the car to shoot. Also the driver wouldn't be able to shoot. Just because a person is shooting from inside of the "safety" of their car doesn't mean it's GTA in any way. I'll let you be that one guy that steps out of their car so I can get a better shot at you.

I like the idea but I think radios could be cooler. You could set it up like this: Let's say there are 100 frequencies or so to Choose from. You could select one at random OR try and find one others are using to stalk them. I think that would be cool. Then you could add batteries to it all and have an option to turn of and on the radio to save battery. I think this could be a more realistic option and people could have just as much of a fun experience. I also think it would be an easier thing to add in for the creators.

Lol I barely find cars at all! But either way I don't really think it needs to change. Maybe your playing on servers which purposely have more vehicles.

Lol I was playing yesterday and a guy spawned Battleships everywhere!!! Haha it was crazy. He was a pretty cool guy though.... Although he did make us dance and "gangnam style" appeare o. Our screens; and our screens went crazy for like 3 minutes.. It was cool

Please oh please increase this direct chat distance!!! My friend and I were playing, saw somebody clearly within 40-50 meters. We asked him to respond, he started running an didn't respond so we shot him once. He ran and combat logged within like 15 secs (which by the way obviously doesn't work well!!!!) Anyway, we later tested the distance between us in direct chat and realized how shitty it is! Barely any range, he couldn't even hear us! I could yell 3 times as far! So please increase the range a bit so people don't die when they don't deserve to.

I really like WaltheriH's idea and I think that would work well. It would be cool if you could choose your own radio channels! Then you could also try and find others people's channels. And Enforcer, I wasn't using the microphone, I used text so I don't think there's anyway I can change range. If I was using the mic then I KNOW he wouldn't be able to hear me because of how much it dissipates, where as text doesn't.

Well if they would at least increase it in the standalone that would be nice. But I can't see why they couldn't increase it or change it. I feel like it would just be some quick coding. They have the ability to take certain types of chat out like "global" and "side," why not change it? But man, it is not far at all. And I mean sure it i hard to yell extremely far BUT, with nothing but nature (and a few zeds) around you would be able to hear much more. Especially with your adrenaline flowing.

Today I think I have just about reach my friendly breaking point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My Story...Just so you know where I'm coming from. It's my first time playing for maybe a coupe months. I was playing the Fallujia map for the first time and found a M4 CQB and an M14 at the airfield. As I was running around I shot a zombie and some said "who shot?", so i replied (over world chat). I said I was friendly and had only shot 1 person(ever in dayz). He told me to lay down on the ground - I still don't know where he is - I lay down but quickly get up and hide thinking it could be a trap. He had a couple friends with him in chat and after some time we finally agreed on a place to meet. I would have liked to join their group. He told me to 'sit', I still didn't feel safe doing that so i just whipped out my pistol as a weaker weapon and laid down. I saw him walk in the other end on the open hanger with a Double Barreled shotgun. I had my gun on him because he wouldn't stop aiming at me. He told me to lay still, but i did keep moving slightly. And just after i stand up i see in the text something along the lines of "JAMES KILLED ZACH WITH A LEE ENFIELD" and just like that, one shot I was was dead. I'm thinking only people with mics now or no weapons.... Cause you can tell a lot by ones voice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After this event I am just having the hardest time trusting people and I'm ready to just start shooting on sight when I get a decent weapon. As I said I have only shot 1 person and honestly that was on accident because I was getting shot at a minute earlier and he wouldn't reply. I hate killing other cause I like teaming up much more and I feel the encounter is even more intense cause I feel so much more accomplished in the end. So how do you judge on whether or not you trust someone enough with your life?

Yeah Ratsom I agree with you. The biggest problem I had was tha is wasn't an official server so they could have jumped to many other servers to not have there bandit skin since nothing transfers. In this case I only saw one of them and he didn't have a skin..... All in all it was still a bad idea no matter what.

Hah I honesty believe you NoobHunter. I think mentioning the weapons I have didn't help. :D but if I did kill anyone then you guys could just come back here and give me away. So that would be dumb on my part. No but seriously, I've only killed one guy and that was on accident (kinda, it's a Long story). In all seriousness, I've thought about going bandit to give that roll a try just cause the standalone WAS gonna come out soon, but I really don't think I could do it. I find rolling with a group is just so much more fun.
