Post all your Melee weapon ideas here and, and weapons that would seem to fit into the game properly Here is a list of weapons and pictures of weapons I think would go good into the game. These pictures came from the Dead Frontier wiki site just for the idea of what they look like. This thread will also help keep the forum clean from all the melee weapons ideas and funnel them into this one thread. Pen Knife----- The pen knife is a small blade designed for basic everyday use. Needless to say, this weapon is not ideal for poking holes in zombies. Chef knife--- A kitchen tool which was used for preparing foods and chopping vegetables, but it can also be used for chopping limbs in a pinch. Fire Axe--- Used by fire departments to smash through wreckage to rescue trapped fire victims, the fire axe is built for reliability and damage. Machete--- A long, cheap and deadly blade of Latin American design which is very effective for clearing vegetation and zombies alike. Being the most classical zombie decapitator, this weapon is a popular choice within experienced zombie hunter circles. Also featured by Jason Vorhees in "Friday the 13th" enjoy your hunting. Trench Knife---- Designed for smashing through helmets and stabbing opponents in the tight conditions of trench warfare, the trench knife was supposed to be a devastating last ditch weapon in the carnage of WWI, but was manufactured at the end of the war and became popular among the paratroopers and marines of the US. military during WWII. That popularity remains undiminished, as survivors make use of these blades to puncture the skulls of the infected. And this I just added in because every zombie survival game needs these in it. The katana----- I will be updating this frequently so be ready for information on all these badass weapons. Bump..

I love the Idea of the bloodsucker and the damage it does. The only thing that needs to be fixed is when you get hit you cannot run, you seem to be temporarily paralyzed and when you are able to move just an inch it hits you again and it continues that process until it kills you. The point is you need to be able to run away. Just like when you get hit by an ordinary zed when you get hit.

The chainsaw would be nice, but with all the glitches and how melee is already in DayZ at the moment a chainsaw would be buggy, Probably cause loads of lag or frame drops. But would be cool to have.

I think it would be cool to craft weapons, but thy might save that for the standalone. They might implement it in a later update for dayz.

i think the chainsaw would be cool, but as we all know right now DayZ is really glitchy, the chainsaw might cause alot of glitch problems. But theyare all good ideas.

I lag so bad when running around Cherno or Elektro with like 70 Zombles in town.

Baseball bat will probably get added, I dont think many melee weapons will get added at all, but if Rocket does want to implement more A Baseball bat should be at the top of the list.

Bump, and for those who dont know it but you are able to get your crossbow bolt back.

Im not the one that would play music while playing, but if I would it would be some Iron maiden, All that remains, and some movie soundtracks.

This could be implemented into the stand alone version, I dont care. I just want to put this idea out there. Shoes- being able to find shoes that effect your speed, and whether you can get sick from not wearing any, thus needing antibiotics.

NO we spawn with shoes and what not, I was thinking more along the lines of trolling people by shooting them and knocking them unconcious and taking their shoes, then stop their bleeding before they die.

The main reason i thought of it was for the possibility of getting sick without shoes.

Do not use a flash light, even when you feel no one is anywere near you. 98% of the time when someone has their flasjlight equiped they get shot.

I love the night time, its the only sure safe way to loot, unless there are bandits out there with NVG's then god help you.
