So your friend is slow (mentally I believe) and all his movement are slower than normal? Get him to hospital dude. -

Players going insane on too many player kills
Pahvilaatikko replied to enforcer1975's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Actually, there is some sense to this. I think it would be cool to have some "side-effects" for killing your first guy or something like that. Unless the players' character is trained to kill, it should have some effect when you shoot someone. Let's be honest: how many of Dayz players have ever actually shot a person irl? I guess not many. If you shoot someone, I believe you would get maybe hands shaking, sweat, a HUGE adrenaline rush etc. This is no urgent matter, but would be something cool to add. Of course this is only a rough suggestion, and would need a lot of working on. -
1. You can't sprint while crouched. And if your character is already fatigued, he can't sprint any faster than jogging speed. 2. When you die, do ESC -> Abort -> Disconnect -> ok (or whatever makes you go to the game from player list) 3. Caps is default for speech button. Press . or , as long as you get the white text "Direct Communication", and talk to your mic. Everyone around you will hear it (like max. 50m from you or whatever).

Extremely low fps on i7 2600k GTX570
Pahvilaatikko replied to jll1994's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Sometimes the game might make your fps decrease slowly. Down to <10fps. Just reconnect if this happens. But I can't understand why your fps is always like 30. I got i5 2500k and gtx 570, almost all settings at very high and I get like 30-50 fps. If you are in a big forest with max. graphics, don't expect a big fps. Also, the game tends to require a beast of a computer to run REALLY smooth. It's optimized badly. -
If you just find a single car part laying on the ground, I believe you can't get the "gear"-option. You can only "Pick up [car part]". And how do you move the car part from your inventory to your backpack? You pick the car part up to your inventory, and from there you move it to your backpack. Should work like that. It has for me. You could always try and drop something on the same pile that the car part is on, and then see if you get the "gear"-option. edit: And of course if it only gives you the "Pick up [car part]"-option, you can't directly put it in your backpack. You have to pick it up to your "normal" inventory first, and then move it from there.

Rocket's overall plan.

TL;DR Maybe tomorrow. But remember, it's in Alpha. -
Nice shooting, but why kill just spawned players if you aren't even going to loot them? That's just being pure asshole and wanting to deny the fun from other players.

Hello everybody. I don't know if anyone else has come up with this "problem", but i'm going to tell it and propose the solution: One day I was playing with 2 of my friends. We were running in the woods and we stopped to have a little break, to eat and bathroom and stuff. I alt-tabbed my game while holding a Remington, and went to eat and all that. When I came back, and alt-tabbed back to the game, I have no clue how, but my in-game character decided to shoot once. The bad luck here was, that 1 of my friends was in front of me. I was REALLY lucky he didn't die from the slug that hit his back. We did fix him up and nothing serious happened. And this isn't the only occasion that this "misfire" has happened to me or any of my friend. I know you can put down your main gun, but the pistol you can't. So, my suggestion to this little problem is this: a safety button for each gun. OR the ability to put your pistol down the same way as your main gun.
