6 players enter NWA... It was the us78 a personal favourite of mine because it still had global chat which I liked, and it made it easier to make friends and get healed. In any case me and a few guys were heading to balota to meet up with another group who took an interest in raiding the northwest airfield. our group made quick progress to th balota med tents to meet up and plan our raid, This was the second time I had been to the NW airfield, and i must say i was excited. when we grouped up our group contained me, scott, steve, colonel sanders, gammon's, and MD. When we met up we set roles; colonel sanders being the leader, scott leading the way (because he had a map), MD being a sharpshooter, and steve being our scout, other then that everyone else just killed zeds and bandits. Unfortunately it was 6:30 and night and i feared night would we be upon us when we reached there. We set out. it was mainly uneventful in our journey we mainly snuck around towns and looted a small area for food. Of course it remained uneventful until we hit vybor. we had set on a hill just outside the town. scott had to disconnect ant told us to wait, and scott scouted ahead we waited around for a short while when i saw someone type in global "anyone near NWA I'm willing to trade a M4A3 CCO for a sniper of any kind. This made us nervous we didn't know if he was lying, if he had looted everything and our raid would be fruitless, if he had a group with him, etc. But these fears were replaced by a more immediate danger when we heard a chopper overhead. It quickly passes us, but someone (i can't remember who) says "that looked like an attack run". Immediately we panic we prone in the grass and get ready to unload on a chopper even if it kills us. The chopper returns and someone says over global "anyone need a lift in a huey"? we don't respond, but someone requests his help in cherno and he flies off. scott and steve come back soon after that event and we head off. we reach the gates to the airfield and we decide to go around the perimeter, we eventually reach a break near the firehouse and steve says in direct "sniper on the firehouse" MD responds saying "you want me to take him out"? Sanders gives him the ok and MD peeks out and kills the sniper in one shot, which inadvertently attracts the zombie horde. we make a formation aiming at the break in the fence and shoot the zeds as they pour in. We kill many, but the a few get through our bullets and we panic and break apart. I run into the forest behind us along with me, sanders and gammons, steve runs off in a different direction, and scott dashes to the firehouse, and I don't see MD. I'm in the forest by myself and hear gunfire, but i'm focused on the zeds and I fill them full of lead as they come into the fire of my AKM. I see Gammons and Sanders crouched and shooting incoming zeds so I join them, and we seem to kill all the ones agro'd to us. Just then we see the message "steve has died". and then there were five. we head to the firehouse and I see Scott on top. joy fills us knowing that almost all of us were together again, but despair looms over us because steve is dead and MD is MIA. But we get to the point of NWA; loot. We search the firehouse and the barracks and i wind up with a DMR and a G17 all with ammo. scott brandished a M4A3 CCO, I suspect he took it off the man who offered a trade, meaning he likely was the one MD killed. gammons and I headed towards the ATC tower in search of ammo. we manage to agro some zeds so we take positions with gammons guarding the entrance and I sniping zeds from above. after we dispatch the zeds scott tells us to meet him at the crashed heli. We gather round the heli and watch the sunset as we wait for sanders and MD. Sanders and MD meet us and we discuss our plan of action. We are to head to the other barracks and then leave. we lock and load and then head out. When we reach the barracks the zeds are on us as soon as we get there we have o formation and we shoot zeds around one area carelessly. Bullets fly everywhere and I am amazed I'm not hit. I break away from the group and head to the hangars to try to kill the zeds on me most stick to the man group but a few come for me and i kill them. when i return to the chaos my group is facing I decide to help them. I spot scott and gammons on top of a tower and head up. we shoot the zeds below, but we see a huge group coming up the ladder. I have no ammo for my G17 so use my DMR from my hip. We soot many as they come up, but scott gets hit by many at once and dies. Gammons and i continue to hold out but he goes down as well and I finish off the few Zeds that haven't died. and I sit on the tower low on blood, ready to die. But the server restarts and I'm fully healed. and then sanders says "Dave (my name) you alive"? I respond with a yes and I meet up with him (and MD) and we decide to leave, but sanders the greedy fool decides we should loot the place again, I reluctantly agree, but only because I need some defense, because I am out of ammo. we go to the first hangar and I grab an M1014 and we agro some zeds. I had experienced so much zed massacre in this raid and I run out of the airfield through a break in the fence and shoot the zeds after me. but before I'm gone I witness sanders running further into the airfield, and I decide it isn't worth it, and I leave. As i'm running I see a crashed heli outside the gates and I find a Bizon with 2 clips. The whole trip screwed up, we were slopppy so I chug a coke and eat my beans and turn around and head down the path and never look back...

You're comparing CoD to dayz? That's like comparing apples to couches, it doesn't make any fucking sense! Also you claim to get the best gear, all you have o do is wait around in electro and kill people? HA! anyone with the best gear won't hang around electro unless they want to do the killing, and if that's the case you'll be dead not them. If you didn't realize dayz is the first of it's kind, what rocket does is his vision for a genre he invented, so don't tell me he's doing it wrong.

I spawned in a server and i'm trapped in the debug plains, i've heard you can run out is that true? It took me awhile to get the gear i have and i don't want to lose it.

well I kill when i feel threatened, but i'm threatened by anyone with a gun.

Whenever i use to direct chat other players can hear me, but i can't hear them. I figured this out when i was with a group on a server with global chat. I switched to global and asked if they could hear me, they said they could, but when they switched to direct I didn't hear anything they said. Even when I switched to other servers I would talk to people in direct (yes i was very close to them) and i would get no response. Anyone know what the problem is, i'm forced to avoid all players on any server with strictly direct and group chat.

I was in electro and I aggro'd tons of zombies so I took a run through the office building to get away from the zeds. I got hit a lot and I barely made it out. Now i've got 6k blood and since i fell in some water earlier, I lost my backpack and my painkillers. Now I'm huddled up in a barn with a cz that is unusable because i'm shaking, and I need a transfusion, if anyone can help me tell me what server to meet you at and I'll meet you in a location that i designate. I don't use steam, I use six launcher so I can't invite you to my game.

I have to agree with most of this. Especially the part about going inland. Some guy on a global chat server told me to go inland to look for weapons and when I went inland I got lost for a really long time. Until I stumbled upon the NWA and I stepped onto the airstrip and got sniped. Veterans of DayZ usually don't get the fact that a noob has no idea where any of the places are. And even if they know the coast few know the inland area.

I'm outside electro with half my blood gone and I'm out of painkillers. I just feel like with your inbox full its kind of impossible to get help, but if anyone else could help me PM on this site.

I have been playing for a couple weeks and I've come across quite a few survivors. but when I try to talk to them I never get a response, and I have tried a lot of time, but I just don't get a response. I have made sure I'm using direct chat its just that no one seems to talk to me. I assumed that they just didn't know how to use the chat, but i've come across enough people that don't say anything to know somethings up. I've even told them period and comma to change chat channels and it still won't work. Am I doing something wrong :huh:.

I had just spawned in Komorovo, and knowing that the Balota airfield was close by, so I figured I'd give it a try going there. Before entering the airfield I noticed two things. One the airfield was crawling with zeds. And two there were gunshots from inside the airfield. Despite this seeming a little dissuading I figured i had nothing to lose, and I went to the airfield all the same. I headed straight towards the first hangar, and found nothing but beans and tin cans. But alas! In the second hangar was an M1014 with plenty of ammo. Just as soon as I cleaned out the hangar of loot, another player came running in. I said "you friendly" in direct chat and the player ran away from me. Figuring he wasn't much of a threat, due to his lack of a weapon, I headed to the ATC tower in search of a greater abundance of M1014 rounds. Upon entering I find an ALICE pack and another pack of M1014 rounds. I start heading up the tower and almost as soon as I get on the balcony the very same player who ran into the hangar comes down and chucks a grenade at me. The grenade misses and explodes safely away from me. But I see tons of zeds heading for the tower. the player says in the chat "sorry I thought you were a zed" enraged by his foolishness of allowing zeds to converge on our position, I shoot him in the head twice and then shoot his body again when it's on the ground (unnecessary but I was pissed). Now the zeds were getting in the building, so I waited for them to come up the stairs and I shot about 5 as the came up, and two that tried to get me from behind. I raced down the steps shooting zeds as I go. When i finally get out of the tower I beeline for a break in the fence. I shoot the only zed still on my tail and then I head for the military tents near the airfield. I reach the tents and find a lone zed among the tents, near one of the deer stands. I take the risk of shooting the zed near the stand, and I see no agro's zeds. I look through the stands and find a PDW and plenty of clips. I get down from the last deer stand and freeze when I see tons of zeds magically among the tents. I slowly crawl through the tents to avoid the zeds, and I barely make it out. After I'm out of the tents I head towards cherno in search of loot. I get to cherno and wind up at the church. I decide to head in to find some food because I've only got a can of beans left. when I get in the church I find some food, but a lone zed wandered in and got agro'd. I have no choice but to shoot him. I exit the church and see to agro'd zeds coming my way. I shoot one, but the other is dispatched by what sounds like a lee enfield. I turn around and see a survivor who says "over here quick". we crouch against a wall and shoot the incoming zeds. We kill many zeds, but he says "I'm out of ammo, run for it", aI runs as well considering I only have a clip for my PDW and three shots for my M1014. We get up and run, but I look back and see tons of zeds after us, and I get hit once causing me to bleed. Me and the other survivor keep running, but it's all road, and we can't escape the zeds, so I do what has to be done. I turn around and shoot the other survivor, and he falls to the ground, not dead but likely unconscious, or passed out. The zeds go for him and starting eating him. I think "they're eating him, and then they're going to eat me, OH MY GOD!". I run without looking back, I go prone in some trees and wait for a minute to see if the zeds are back. But nothing comes, and I'm alone. I keep heading down the road in a daze. I had lost half my blood and I was shaking like a addict who needs a fix. I cam e across a town, and headed in in search of painkillers. So I find a house and to my luck some painkillers. I take the painkillers and then here gunshots from outside the house. I look out the window to see to bandits with AKs looking over a dead player, and then I see them come my way. I know there is no escaping so I bring up my M1014 and get ready. As soon as the first bandit enters the house I shoot him with my remaining slugs, killing him, but the other guy filled me with AK rounds and I die. So ends the story of of the asshole who killed an idiot who carelessly threw a grenade, a friendly survivor, only to save his own hide, and a bandit who killed for fun.

I looted electro and found a revolver off a dead survivor (not a victim to me) and an AKS-74u with a kobra sight of a dead bandit I killed with an AKM (I ditched the AKM because it was out of ammo). so I thought it would be good to head up north for the NW airfield to check out the loot. I hit up stary, vybor, and a few deer stands foor loot. Now I've got four mags for the AKS (all full) and 6 for the revolver (some partially full). I'm going to do a quick run for the airfield looking through the barracaks as quick as possible. I'll probably avoid all other players, and I might shoot on sight unless they announce friendly. This is the first time I'll be heading to the NW airfield and its one of the first time's i've had a good gun for awhile so I want to know what guns I should look for to replace my AKS and my Revolver. Going a bit off topic I actually saw two broken helis on the way to vybor and I couldn't get to the one, because it was crawling with zeds, and the other had three guys around it. I couldn't tell if they were bandits, but the one guy had a sniper, and i wasn't going to take any risks.

I got in to the airport and found tons of rounds for my AKS, but I got swarmed by zeds in the fire station and got a broke leg. Now I need morphine or I'm dead. If anyone knows where to find morphine in NWA it would be the best thing ever.

I'm just outside the NW airfield and I have a broken leg, and I need a blood transfusion. I alerted tons of zeds and made a stand in the fire station with my AKS. I got hit from behind and I didn't get the zed in time to prevent my leg from breaking. Unfortunately I use six launcher, because I can't get it to work on steam. If you could get to me in six launcher your help would be much appreciated.

I'd probably start as 4 and when I started getting low on places to loot, had to many close calls, or i was just done with the risks I was taking I'd resort to 5. Eventually I'd get to paranoid to let the people I robbed live and become a seven. There is no way I'd group with someone I'd be far to paranoid to stick with even one guy.

I met a guy in cherno who said he needed a gun so I directed to a lee enfield that had a lot of ammo around it. I stayed around the same area and he came back to me and shot me with the very enfield I directed him towards. His name was carl, but there's probably plenty of people with the same name. I can't remember the server.

I hate barbed wire. I manged to get to the top of the fire house in electro so that I could reach a couple loot piles. I managed to grab an AK, but I only had one clip and the other piles were out of reach. But I could only get a clip because of the barbed wire blocking the way. As if my character can't step over some barbed wire.

I recently got dayz after a lot of reccomendations from friends and from reading about it and watching videos on the internet. I have got the core mechanics down, but I just can't seem to find good loot. I usually go to the airstrip when I can, because it is one of the few places I know how to get to. I usually get an M1014 at the airstrip and I have a blast. But other then the airstrip I usually can't find guns. I've hear people tell me to go to electro or cherno, but I can't find them unless I wander into them. So my point is can anyone tell me where to find some guns. I'd also like to know how to get to those places. Also I know a lot of people say to go to barns, but I'd like to know where I could find those barns. This isn't a rant thread. I really like dayz even though I suck.

great map it will really help. Just a quick question though. what will a low/medium/high yield building spawn?
