Milk (DayZ)

I bought ARMA2 for dayz like all of my friends. I won't play ARMA2 after DayZ goes into stand alone. I probably won't even purchase the stand alone unless I know the prevalent hacking will be resolved.

I am getting low morale as well. My friends and I play every night. We all have around 300hrs of game time. The first month we rarely ran into a hacker. Now no matter what server we go to there are hackers. Some servers get hacked 2-3 times a day. I'm sick of people saying "its alpha". Why continue to play? It's starting to leave such a bad taste in my mouth I wonder if I'll even pick it up when its fully released.

Ah ok, I thought I heard someone say that you could roll back servers on another post on the forums. Hopefully your quick action saved most of us. Too bad you died though. Me and about 5 friends play on your server nightly. We really like your server :)

Yeah it did. Most of my friends and I were logged in when it got nuked. Thanks for updating the website quickly and letting us know whats going on. Are you gonna roll back the server after you see if closing it quickly had any effect?

I like the idea of having the game more coop. The idea of having a friend to splint your leg, etc is something I find attractive. However some of your ideas seem crazy and way too hard to make it remotely enjoyable.

I agree that the video was horrible. I don't like the idea of survivor only servers since the threat of bandits adds an element to the game that makes you super cautious and weary of others. If you took that away the game would lose some of its charm.

This. I play with friends and we all pitch in to help supply the tents and make sure everyone has the ammo and med supplies they need.

The forests are safe and boring. The towns are unsafe and fun. If all you ever wanted to do was see how long you could survive then yes, you could do it in the forest. That however sounds very boring and that's why people start venturing into towns and zombie populated areas.

He got the satisfaction of killing you. Whats 1 morphine and painkillers? I guess you've never raided a hospital.

My group of friends usually play nightly from 12am-3am/5am. Sometimes we start earlier. Tonight we've been playing from 11pm until 8am. We all have jobs but thankfully most of us work the night shift so we get off late. :)

I've been playing DayZ nightly for about two weeks now and up until this point I've had a pretty smooth experience with the game until yesterday. My friends and I logged into our normal server (us77) and half our tents were empty. We chalked it up to being raided and moved the camp. We got everything situated in a totally new area. The server started lagging and then went down. When it came back up all our tents and vehicles were gone. I wasn't upset. I shrugged my shoulders and told myself "Easy come, easy go". I know things like this are bound to happen. We all regrouped and decided to raid Berezino for tents, med supplies, etc. It was intense and super fun. By this time we had switched servers to us85 because us77 was always a little bit glitchy. We all went south and put up new tents, raided Electro and then logged. This morning we got on and were at our tents looking through last nights loot when all of a sudden everyone on the server died. I was a bit perturbed but not that upset until I got to our new tent site. We hadn't just died, we had all exploded.. Making all the new tents and gear in them completely useless. That's when I got upset. Essentially I had just wasted all the hours I'd played last night and lost it to a hacker. I really really hope they fix these issues soon because the last 24 hours made me start questioning why I'm even playing this game. I understand DayZ is in alpha but all that happened just left a bitter taste in my mouth. :-/

I survived 2 weeks and have only killed one guy out of cold blood for his gear when he spawned on me. I was afraid he was going to shoot me when he fully logged. I am not sorry. MRWHAH!

This is a bad idea. Why would you alienate your user base like this? People will just stop playing if they have to wait a week between spawn times. Sometimes you die with no fault of your own so why would you be punished for it? No thanks. If you want to add more realism.. Add pooping. My character eats all the time but he never has to poop.

So I was this sniper in a tree minding my own business.. when all of a sudden this guy just shows up behind me. At first I'm trying to be friendly but then he just starts shooting at me with the DMR... So I had to kill him. Hah jk :) That sucks!

Sounds like you haven't been paying attention. Alpha is to add features. Beta is to fix bugs. We're in Alpha. Got it ? Is that why the hotfixes' date=' FIX things? Ohyou.jpg [/quote'] You don't understand how DayZ is developed, do you ? Rocket releases a patch with new features / content, and then he will fix critical issues through hotfixes. He should not be worried about balance, hacking or anything right now. Things will change a lot, YOU WILL lose your character and stuff due to bugs and exploits. It will happen often, it's all part of testing it. Once he is satisfied with the features he added in he is going to add more features and so on. Once everything is in place, and only then, he will work to balance everything and fix bugs and hacks. All this QQ isn't helping anything. People need to understand how development works. I can't tell if you're trolling... I understand that I will lose my shit. I even stated that I wasn't upset about it. I realize this is in alpha. However I was simply sharing my latest experience with the mod and my disdain. I was hardly QQing at all. Mainly stating that I hope it will be fixed soon. If the DayZ team isn't worried about hacks why did they recently ban a bunch of people? Entire servers being continually nuked is a critical issue since people can't even test the game. Stop being a fervent fanboy that can't accept anybodies criticism. I'm sorry I insulted the doggy companions. :rolleyes:
