What exactly have you TESTED? I don't see any posts from you reporting issues and such. Firstly, you did NOT pay for DayZ. Secondly, Rocket HAS been saying it will be standalone for months. Third, Get what everyone has already told you into your head. Forth, Rocket deserves money for this since none of it has gone to him Fifth, You go create a game then give it away for free, see how much you'd change your tune then. Sixth, if YOU can't afford to buy the game again then I'd assume you don't work, which can only lead to a couple things. One, get a job or two, you're too young to be playing anyway. If you do work, then you can afford to pay for it. If you can't? Then you got FAR more to be worrying about. Stop acting like it's owed to you. It's not. Period.

Now this post is FULL of irony. Here you are, complaining about others and how they should feel because....you say so, while crying yourself at how YOU think this is "extremely sad". That is one pile of hypocrisy right there. The fact that it bothers YOU how others feel about THEIR game says to me that YOU are the one who needs to, what is it you're accusing people of? Oh right, to grow a pair and get a life. Of course, this won't bother you will it, since you're saying it about others so quite clearly you'd be able to take it said to you, right?. The way I see it is that if someone feels guilty for killing another player (that's what you're whining about right?) then their doing just fine, I.E, their immersing themselves in the game, either that, or their not a dipshit who gets enjoyment out of ruining someone else's game play. Unfortunately for me, I don't get that kind of feeling when I kill someone, nor do I get satisfaction. It's rather a blank stare of, hmm, free loot, moving on. I wish I could get that emotion from a game, so more respect to them. Who are you to say how they should be playing THEIR game?

Why can't you play on other servers? I'm pretty sure your camp will still be on that one when you go back to it (unless it was stolen etc).

Like I said, unless that was changed recently, that's not true at all. Firstly, I used it for quick in and out jobs, and secondly, I spent ages having fun running over zombies (and a player who I thought was a zombie, ending up breaking his head and trying to run the bitch over as he was crawling between trees going nonononononono. Man, he sure looked like a zed though, some where even walking NEXT to him. His face looked like one also, it's just until I heard him yelling no I realised it wasn't) The only thing I've noticed is that zombie kills don't show up on the scoreboard, but they sure as hell do (or did) spawn as of a couple of weeks ago.

Not sure about that, unless it was changed in a recent update. Every time I've had a vehicle I've driven right up to barns, ran in and ran out. My advice? Save often. Carry as many jerry cans as you possible can. Make sure that you keep ALL valuables on person and keep the crap stocked up in the vehicle. Also, make sure you have inventory space in the plenty, so that when you run to grab something, you can be in and out as fast as possible. Obvious one, don't hit high population zones. If you need decent medical supplies and such, drive to a forest, get inside the trees and go to the supermarkets on foot. Try to hit the towns like zelenorsk that's further north from the coast and further inland (west). Make sure it's a good distance from the towns and not on any specific path that someone could walk through. When you hit a hospital make sure you rearm the box (if the option isn't there then clear all the junk away from the box, at least that's how I personally do it, it's worked every time but I've never seen another post on the subject, but I spent ages looking for the rearm and noticed every box had crap around them, so I cleared it then rearmed and it worked). Also, make sure you have as much space as possible and take the 10 morphine and 10 pain killers. I like to keep 3 of each on me, the rest you can store in the truck. Maybe 2 pain killers 3 morphine. Also, bandages, they are important. Once you've got those supplies sorted, then it's time for food, since taking blood bags would be dumb (why risk someone helping you?) clear your inventory and go look for some animals. Get as much meat as humanly possible, go to the truck, make a fire, light it, cook the meat and drive off ASAP. I had the ATV once and I found that great for quick runs. Make sure that if you're going to check a barn and you don't want to stash your ATV/car whatever, turn the engine off (move to side seat then back since you can't start it right away) and just look around for a bit. Especially if you have the army truck, that's a big painted neon sign. It's LOUD and it leaves a trail of dust for miles, so you need to be patient. Watch out for walls! I let my idiot friend drive my truck when I had it for so long and went through so much with it, and I went to fill up some water and some people drove up in a hippy-mobile and started shooting at him. I ran back from the lake and shot at them and noticed there were quite a few and they had snipers, I told him to drive off and I ran with them shooting. After some running he picked me up, but was bleeding, he drove it over a wall and got it stuck. I got in and tried to reverse it but it was t aking ages (4 of the 8 wheels over the front of the wall, 4 behind it) and as I was doing so, I saw his head explode, and I jumped out (couldn't drive off) and someone was shooting at me and I couldn't pin point the location and I died. So moral of the story? Don't drive while bleeding. Lucky for me, the server went down about 20 seconds after I got shot so no one got the truck in the end and then there was a patch which reset everything. Personally, I hate vehicles, they are too much pressure to keep. their never safe, they are an attraction, people will chase you, shoot at you, want your stuff and go out of their way to make sure they get it. No where is safe to stash it, so make sure when you log off you have everything decent in your bags. I'd also suggest putting as many weapons as possible in there, just crappy ones like the WC or LE along with whatever ammo you find. That way, if you die and the truck is safe, you can go pick it up.

Now, I'm no grammar nazi but it becomes a special occasion when you're going to call someone stupid with two fucking words, GET IT RIGHT. Because as of right now, you're stupid.

Sometimes I see a video with much better graphics, I've also heard you need a certain DLC for it, is this true? I have Arma 2, OA and CO. Also, it can be a bit intense on the regular settings, I have a pretty good computer, I know it uses the same engine but would the improved graphics be smoother by any chance? :P

because laying down prone you're a sitting duck, because the ammo takes up a fair amount of slots and just because it's high ammo capacity doesn't mean you save ammo, due to the high RoF you can end up using more. Because it's not as accurate as some weapons and it also paints a huge target on your head. It also has obtrusive sights meaning more ammo put down on the target and if you want to shoot short controlled bursts then you might as well have a weapon designed for that while keeping accuracy and maneuverability. Or! you could refer to my earlier posts and see there's a reason for every type of gun and why you should/shouldn't be using it.

Honestly, if you can't work out these reasons yourself then you'd be better to stick with a starter weapon since it won't hurt you so much when you lose it. A gun is NOT just a gun, there are so many factors involved that one gun will be favoured over another in certain conditions. Sure, a bolt action like a Lee Enfield might do more damage but raw damage isn't always a bonus. Suppression is one method. Example, there's 2 guys and you're in cover. What's going to be more beneficial to you? One damaging shot that's loud and gives your position away or laying down a hail of bullets making them drop? Same if you're with a partner, do you think firing one shot every so often giving them time to pin point your location is a good thing because it can OHK? Or laying down a couple of rounds as your buddy creeps towards them Recoil RoF CQC Ammo consumption Damage maneuverability The size of the weapon (Having a massive barrel poking out giving your position away F.EX) Ease of finding the ammo Reloading time Loudness How many rounds the magazine holds Are you solo, support, suppressing, spotting, against zombies, players or both. The extras that come with it, night vision, scope, zeroing etc etc The location you're going to raid, inside buildings, in the city, village, trees, castle, fields etc etc There are SOO many factors involved when looking at what weapon you want to carry that just looking at damage alone will only cut down your survival time. It's a factor but it's a limiting factor. Getting a 1 shot kill isn't going to help you against 2+ people when they can spot you and hit you after you drop a buddy of theirs. What if you miss? Are you going to stay calm while there's 2 weaker automatics firing your way with bullets whizzing past your head? They can strafe left and right while spraying and praying, you're going to have to stand still and make yourself even more of a target so you can ADS and pop that damaging shot off. I dunno, do you really need to be told all this?

I have no sympathy for a bush wookie hiding in the treeline, even less so for one actually following a guy around THAT desperate for a kill. Not that I agree with the combat logging either. If I had to pick a side, the bush wookie would lose, every, single, time. (I've actually only met one in Dayz and he missed every single shot. It seemed so...desperate to me, but in any shooter, snipers are the lowest of the low imo)

Instead of actually removing the button, how about keeping it (for when characters get stuck and stuff) but instead binding the characters spawn for say 10-15 minutes, so no matter how many times he/she presses respawn it will still put them in the same location. That way, you don't get people choosing where to spawn and then people who have a legitimate problem, such as being stuck, can still respawn.

How about NO. Period. When the phone or door goes I like to log out, I'm not going to leave them waiting for a minute and then run downstairs to grab the phone/door. Especially the phone since it goes to the AP after what, 30-40 seconds. Get real.

Hmm! it has to be the same one, I didn't notice taht but the one I found had 7 in it also. It's by the ravine/river/fjord or whatever it;s called. Guess the OP will state is isn't as he don't want people going there :P but I can tell by the image, or I'm 99% sure it is. I am curious to what all the names are in the bottom right corner, is it actually possible to group in the game?!

Is that on UK9? That looks like the EXACT location I found a tractor in (along with a bike which I stole) that was parked right next to my army truck :P mine was up the hill so you couldnt see it from the tractor but you could see the tractor from my truck, which was around 70 meters away :P Still, i know its a silly thing to say but I took a screenshot and it looks identical to the location, right top right. Maybe it's "off the map" at least it is on the internet map, just I think its in the game map.

It should work but maybe you have a different keyboard layout to me. It's either < > ? on mine, which is the one to change the direct communication and to type (or , . / when im not holding down shift :P so yeah, try those ones)

OP - I been there once, didn't know it was that place until I saw the earlier video, found a dead corpse with a TON of great stuff, but I had a vehicle so I didn't wana hang around too long.

Had this issue before and got my very nicely geared character killed. Hit the / key and it should stop it. Or the < one of the two.

Using the launcher you shouldn't have this problem, I've only found it with the updater. On the flip side though, launcher is MUCH slower to load a game, get in, and ends up lagging the crap out of most people if you leave it running while playing. But yeah, is a bit sucky.
