How could it help at all if every other vehicle loses their fuel after every server restart. We've made a new notice too. You need to save every vehicle at least once between server restarts or it will be all broken after a restart.
-
I know it's not the leaking problem since we have almost all of the vehicles and after server restart they all lose of their fuel. I just thought if the problem was only on that server but apparently it's on all servers and being under fixing.
-
Ok. Thanks for the answers. I'm going to keep a jerry can with me in the future too, just in case. :) So apparently we lost that chopper since it client that disconnected. We also are loosing all the vehicles too due to a admin abuse, but that's another thread then.

We found a chopper in Dayz and we've been having problems. First one occurs after every server restart, the fuel level is empty even though it was saved, same with every vehicle. I assume it's a known bug but it could be a server side issue too. The other question is: What happens when the pilot gets kicked out of the game while flying a chopper? Does the chopper return to it's last known position, or last saved position or does it just continue flying without pilot eventually crashing down? I've heard that it will continue for some distance and then crash, but is it the absolute truth in every situations? -walou

Should we remove barbed wire in the next update

Please, at least remove the barbed wire. I would like to get a full swipe of stats too. :) -
Multiple DayZ accounts (useful for shared computers)
lethalwalou replied to deren93@hotmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I have one copy atm but I'm thinking of buying another. I use DayZ betalauncher or Sixlauncher to launch the game. If I get the other account can I still launch the game through sixlauncher? Also, would it work if every time I wany yo play I just log into the alt steam account and launch the game through sixlauncher, or do I have to link both of the Arma 2: OAs to Steam in order for this to work? -
Atm people like the game because it gives you so much exitement. You have to work and think to survive in it. If we would have that much starter gear, half the players would just go run'n'gunning the whole time because like in every shooter, you can respawn and have guns and other stuff immediatelly. I like the fact that if you get shot and die you can't just respawn, go to the guy who killed you and kill them. You have to find a gun first and then approach cautiosly. Your idea would ruin the game for most of the people.

I can see you put a lot of thought to this but it doesn't work for me. I like the fact that every person has equal gear when they spawn, and that gear is almost nothing. It's not fun if you start with gear that can get you through first days. I like the fact you have to immediatelly start to search for loot in order to stay alive. So that in mind I don't like this idea at all.

Got gear and bored ? Read this.
lethalwalou replied to Delta Smoke 01's topic in New Player Discussion
You have really good points and tips for what to do in the game. I haven't tried all of that in game. Atm I'm a murderer-bandit. We have a group and when we spawn, we like to rule Cherno for a bit and get good gear and then head to north. I have played as a friendly player for so long and being bandit has been a lot of fun. Before I became a bandit/murderer, my last kill was when the game was in 1.5.8.4 and I have played a few days every week. Your post has now made me think that maybe next I should become a friendly bandit that helps the weak and kills only for the gear. I'll leave Cherno for a bit and head to north with a hope to find some bandits and teach them a lesson. :) -
I'm a new player - and this seems SOO hard
lethalwalou replied to T8TRG8TR's topic in New Player Discussion
Finally a new player that doesn't whine when it gets too hard. Props for you on that. ;) First thing you have to learn is the movement and how to use your inventory. There's tutorials everywhere. Then you need to learn the distances for aggroing. Best way to do that is to try to get in a small town without aggroing anyone. You shouldn't care about dying, we all did die in the beginning, some more than others. :D Try to learn the lootable buildings and the best ways to loot a town. When you have enough supplies, ie. two cans of food and three cans of soda, go north. You will find better weapons when looting deerstands than by going in Cherno. Honestly you shouldn't even go near Cherno or Elektro when you first start to play. After you have found a weapon and other supplies, just travel in the world and explore it. I have played for months and I haven't explored the whole world. Best thing is to act like in war: When you accept that you will die eventually, you can do better. You have the courage to take risks and you become more confident in everything. Don't get too attached to your gear and don't get depressed when you die. It's normal to die in this game. -
I use the 3rd person view when travelling. It's more pleasent when the screen isn't shaking. When I enter to place where I know I could need to fire my gun, I switch to 1st person view. 3rd pv is easier when moving into town, you can see zombies more easily. 3rd pv is kind of cheating because you can see other side of fences and walls. That's why many players like to play in servers where it's disabled.

I have to say again about the things that are really broken. Our group was looting Stary and we had already killed one guy there but then a ghillie suited sniper started to spawn in the game, shoot and disconnect immediatelly. Then he changed location and did the same thing again. Luckily he killed only one of us and we had to disconnect too, but what he did there, can be compared to cheating. I read someone's post about not killing the new comers so they won't immediatelly hate the game. So the same night I spawned at the coast and came across a player. He didn't kill me athough I had no weapon, and I used voip to communicate with him. Eventually he gave me some food and drinks and I decided not to kill him because he said it was his first time playing. He was a nice guy trying to learn to play. There's still friendlies in the game, so don't say all of us veterans hate the noobs. Ps. I also game him a tip, not to trust anyone and that I could've had killed him if I wanted. There's also that kind of players too. I thought he needed to know that.

You really need to play more before posting any complaints. 1) It is possible to lose the aggro with going out of LOS. You need to learn the distances when the zombies aggro and play by them. I have experienced that crawling is effective, though not in big cities. I hate when people complain like this: ''The zombies are too fast. Zombies can't be fast'' Correction, they are infected and they can be fast. They are not zombies. 2) You have only played for two days and you want the starting gun back. You haven't even played when there was a starting gun so you don't know what it was like. It was horrible. People just kept running the coastline and shooting everything and everyone. It adds more challenge in the game now that you have no gun or a lot of gear. You can find a gun if you know what to look for. A hatchet is one of the best guns in the game, learn to use it. You need to make plans for yourself, in case you die. I have created a plan with which I can gather all supplies easily after I die. 3) We don't need the global comm any more. It was pain in the ass to have it. People kept on spamming it all the time. 4) In every game, if there's a way to be a douche, people will use it. Your experience is one of the many. There's one big problem in the game now, the attitude of the players. People will shoot first and ask questions later. Also if you shoot someone and don't kil them immediatelly, they alt + f4 almost everytime. That problem is going to be fixed though. My experience of the game got a lot better when I headed to inland. I spent my first month with the game on the coastline, in Elektro mostly. I enjoyed the game, but not much. It all changed when I headed inland and now I have good gear and I'm able to survive without going in the big cities. I have clanmates also which makes the game more fun and easier. I don't have to take any chances anymore by being a guardian angel of the rest of them.

THIS GAME IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR NOOBS
lethalwalou replied to JERRY220's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This is truly a difficult game. It's not an arcade shooter. You have to learn stuff the hard way. If you don't have the patience to learn you will not have good time in this game. It's good you got this out of your system, so now you should watch a few quick tutorials on how to move in a populated city without a gun. I'm not an veteran, but I used my time to practice on how to do stuff and now I have a plan whenever I die and respawn. I do according my plan, and get good stuff fast and then have fun. Remember, this is supposed to be played with a parter. It's really frustrating to play alone and you will not do good that way. -
So there's no fix for this and I can't get out of the debug area alive? There was supposed to be 1.7.1.6 patch a few days ago that would've fixed this but it hasn't been introduced.
