I love the hatchet and it's my best weapon at the moment. As long as I have a couple of bandages I find I can kill 15+ without to much of a problem. I also have my sidearm, which is pretty quiet anyway for when I'm out of town. I find rifles way to loud, all though I haven't found any of the rarer ones so they're probably different. All in all, it's great in built up areas I find, but obviously sucks when you've got bandits after you.

The first place I visit when I respawn is a big city, you can get enough gear to survive for a while, and it doesn't take to long to find it. But, the problem I find is that I get to carried away, and want to check the next building, then the next, then the next until I get shot. I need to be smarter and get out of there rather than being to curious. :)

It's not impossible, just very hard, which is good! If it was to easy, what would be the point of playing it? The whole challenge of this game is surviving and the more difficult the more fun in my opinion. I've died countless times over the last few days, but I'm learning from my mistakes and I'm not moaning about it.
