    Constant character resetting?!

    i have had 5 complete character wipes being fully geared for most of them, it is alpha, it will happen through bugs or patches, get use to it up until release

    server hopping will be addressed later in development people are stressing too much on current features, this is not a GAME yet, this is alpha, by playing this you are essentially testing current features, this is in no way an example of how the game will be at launch, you should be focusing more on things like invisible walls, items disappearing, implementing of health system, loot spawns in spots that are inaccessible (like on top of some cabinets or a piano), zombie AI pathing and sight/hearing radius, etc. too many posts about this flooding the forums, use the search function PLEASE

    I'd like to make a request...

    try double tapping W and vaulting (press V while running) that seems to work most of the time for me also had success with prone and rolling (Q or E) and running and pressing prone (Z) if all else fails, leave your guy in a server for an hour or two and you will die

    im all for more hand guns and less hi powered semi-auto sniper rifles im a little on the fence about sticking to the whole eastern european theme, it adds to the realism/immersion of the game by having authentic ECOMBLOC weapons, but at the same time it is a game, id like some more familiar stuff too (glocks, M&Ps, Colt etc) i agreed with most of your choices, however i think the desert eagle should be left out, it is by all means a glamor gun, over priced toy, and is in almost any FPS out there

    if you plan on putting it on the ground (for your buddies to access), be sure its on level terrain, no trees or rocks present, and not in a house as i have lost several of them due to this bug :-\

    SKS A mix of DMR and M14 ?

    cant tell if you are trolling or being serious lol B) 7.62x39 cartridge not really that ideal for sniping, shooting out of the SKS tho it will have an edge on the M4 with greater accuracy than the AK, more damage too reloading will be somewhat similar to the Mosin (internal magazine) 10rnds, so it wont be that viable for a CQB weapon, probably be a medium range weapon as far as attachments go who knows, maybe 20-30rnd detachable mags, silencer, synthetic stocks? i could only guess at this point

    Ideas for dayz: SAFE ZONES and ROAMING HORDES

    Ever played War Z? (or what ever the hell they changed their name to now) Safe Zones ended up being guaranteed camp sites for bandits and griefers, totally destroyed the "sandbox" anything goes environment, there are no safe zones for a reason.. there is no safety if you wanted to create a zombie apocalypse utopia in the woods when the camps/construction portions of the game are developed then go right ahead, man it yourself and with a squad, but you have to stay vigilant if you want to maintain its integrity and safety, I have played in a few servers and private hives of dayz mod that had clans running safezones, but after a while they lose members and have too much to guard and end up getting overrun by bandits

    FEATURES YOU THINK SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED

    Random Spawns AWAY from the coast, small towns in the middle or NE side of the map etc. Agriculture - Farming or scavenging in the woods even for berries, nuts, mushrooms Ability to repair or craft or upgrade items (Base Ball Bat + Rail Road Spikes = Pain Stick) Fishing and Hunting Some sort of storage system either tents, lock boxes (which could have the option to be buried), trunks, etc. Less military structures, even less than the mod Construction, either for building a secure camp, underground bunker, modifying of structures such as barricading buildings or securing doors that are always open Larger map (just a personal request), like Arma3 Altis sized, Ive played DZmod for a long time, and have pretty much seen all there is to see on chernarus, a new map would make the game exciting once again
  14. this.. i cant give you enough beans the forums are littered with people complaining about KoS, Bandits, too much PvP, etc. this game is supposed to be hard, its a post apocalyptic zombie survival sandbox.. key word SURVIVAL, by either staying well fed and hydrated, healthy, avoiding zombies at all cost and kill or be killed if you want a casual game where your character respawns and you dont lose your gear then this is not for you i say no to multiple characters, it devalues the time and effort you put into your character, soon you will be more concentrated on gearing up your alts than surviving i do however wish they bound characters to servers, this would develop a sense of community in each server making it unique to the players there

    yes they do make 5rnd mags for SVD type rifles, but i think the point was the OP complained about the DMR (semi-Auto 7.62x51) but wants the SVD (depending on the model, 7.62x54R)

    lmao exactly the OP listed far too many military grade weapons and not enough civilian weapons in my opinion you completely lost me at Hi-Point Carbine, one word, GARBAGE plus you listed far too many high powered bolt action rifles after complaining about the DMR and AS50

    i like the idea of personally owned/secured vehicles, but the wheel clamping thing to me seems like a new level of griefing... either players running around a map, clamping all vehicles for shits and giggles or to secure it until they find the required parts to get it running or they stumble upon your camp and clamp all the cars there for the hell of it i like the key idea too, but i dont think it should be a defining security feature, i think players who want it enough (and with the right tools and or know-how) could steal the vehicle anyways, by breaking a window or using a tool to unlock the car, hotwiring is a great idea, delay the ability to start the vehicle up when you dont have the key for it etc. one of the best parts of DayZ mod was roaming the woods and finding a camp with some fully repaired vehicles, robbing them blind and leaving

    I disagree, Balota and the surrounding camp city are 90% of the time complete barren, (atleast on day time servers), but they are still highly populated with a majority of players on a server being there or nearby chernogorsk GO INLAND, I cannot say that enough, your chances of surviving go up the deeper inland you go

    Don't you mean Nurses or CNA or Medic Kit? Never seen a doctor take vital signs in my life On topic: i think this is flipping awesome, but we would be teetering on the Realism\\Entertainment boarderline where many people might not enjoy it so much, a lot of players want a more "casual" sickness/injury system without a lot of thought some additions id like to see (i was a medic in the army, and currently a nurse today) Respiratory Status - Increased respiratory demands, not even marathon runners can hoof it 3000-5000m over rough terrain and return to normal respirations in 10sec, if you are in shock or suffered a large amount of blood loss your respiratory rate will increase also sicknesses such as bronchitis or the flu (hell even pnemonia) would be interesting aspects of the illness system, as it is, Chernarus is very cold at night, your malnourished, sometimes soaking wet, outdoors, etc. your chances of developing a sickness are very high! Some sort of transport system: Such as buddy Carry ability for team members, sled litter or Talon litter like system in game.. Your buddy is injured, sick, etc. he goes down, you dont want to leave him to the elements, you should be able to pick him up (with restrictions on movement and ability to use a weapon, increased body demands of the individual carrying the wounded comrade like increased hunger/thirst and decrease to stamina) and get him to where you can safely provide aid, one of my fav mods in Arma/Arma2/Arma3 is a buddy carry system, added that sense of realism and immersion for me.. Or even if your buddy died in combat, and you dont want to leave the items to go to waste, you can pick him up and take him to a safe location for distributing of items

    The DLC disscusion

    i hope theres no DLC, most developers nowadays are releasing less than finished games at full price 50-60$ then releasing crap ass DLC packs (price varies from game to game), what happened to the days where you got a FULL GAME, and then when they had new content it was called an EXPANSION PACK with a whole new gameplay experience :-\ those were the days back to the OP it would be neat to transfer a character from one map to another by some means of "quests" or "routes"
