Zombie Doctors and Zombie Nuns.
Womb Raider replied to Nebo NZ's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Never seen them before, hopefully I'll see more varieties of zombies soon. -
Never going to happen.
-
You can find a decent starting weapon easily within 5-10 minutes of spawning.
-
NPC's are never going to be a part of this mod. The only time you will see a moving military convoy or an army base if it is player made.

That wasn't his point. That wasn't his point. That wasn't his point. That wasn't his point. Even high school drop-outs who drive garbage trucks at least possess the ability to comprehend the topic of a discussion. Don't bother voting or watching political debates if you can't figure out the topic of a conversation. Good evaluation' date=' since clearly none of them did understand. Think i will wait a while to play again. Give time for the deathmatch killers and item hoarders to get bored of the game which eventually will happen. Then ppl can play the game as intended without disturbance from these incompetent people. [hr'] Once again, why would you think walking through the middle of a heavily populated town is a good idea. Yes you should fear walking through it, do you think if a real zombie apocalypse happened, people wouldn't sit and wait for other survivors to come in and then shoot them and take their gear or people that have gone crazy and shoot for fun, not to mention the zombies that would be in there. I get that you've had bad experiences with the mod, but I implore you to reconsider, you will find nice survivors, not everyone shoots on sight. It's basically an elevated level of paranoia, I encounter people daily on Day Z, do I kill them? No. But I make sure I have the advantage over them. For instance I was playing the other day, myself and a friend were running towards a town inland, my buddy happened to turn around and see a survivor coming our way, but he hadn't seen us yet, I and him instantly hit the deck. Then two more survivors came along with the first person, rather than shooting them all, we laid in wait to see what they would do. They came close to where we were, my buddy said over direct chat "We're friendly, we don't want any trouble, leave now." They initially didn't say anything and started to move towards us, did we fire, no, we waited. One of them responded eventually and said "Ok, we'll leave" and they left. If they hadn't complied with our orders we would of had no choice but to shoot them as we didn't know what their intentions are. But most of all we had the advantage over them, we were on a hill, I was behind a tree and my buddy was in the bushes. If they had decided to engage us, we would of slaughtered them. Both parties left and no blood was shed, simple. Oh and i guess you would know all that from experience? Pretty sure there hasn't been a zombie apocalypse. So you really believe a big majority of ppl would sit around waiting for survivors to come around to kill them? Please tell me your joking. You would try and pair up with them, doubling your chance of survival. Sure there would be crazy ppl kill for survival but definitely not 9/10 ppl. More like 1/100 as ppl would be paired up for the most part anyway. Plus not everyone would be armed with guns in an apocalypse. I will do a playthrough without a gun and i guarantee you someone will shoot me for absolutely no reason. Clearly you have played too many games to think like that, or watched too much TV. Human nature draws people together in times of extreme need and survival, not killing each other off. Experience regarding a zombie apocalypse has nothing to do with that. It is common sense, why would you think walking through the middle of a town that's been in a zombie apocalypse is a good idea. Every depiction we've had of a zombie apocalypse in the games and TV shows I watch too much of has depicted cities as death traps and you should stay far, fair away from them. How is that going to be any different if it happened in real life? Hopefully one does happen as you'll get to experience that yes there are nice people out there, but when there is no law and order left in the world do you really think everyone is going to team up and be friendly together? It did sound a lot like your point.

It's luck of the draw unfortunately. Best bet is to spawn in a safe place.

You get shot on sight... it's hard to not be seen when you need to go into hotspots that everyone is watching... No' date=' you don't get shot on sight. If you can't survive in the major cities as everyone apparently shoots on sight, go in-land, it really is not hard. [/quote'] I guarantee you that a lot of your so called "bandits" on the coast are really just jumpy noobs who just found a gun, and don't even own a microphone so they can't or won't call "Friendly". Everyone assumes they were always shot by "bandits", but a majority of professional bandits have MUCH better things to do with their time than shoot everyone with a can of pasta and a crowbar. I never said anything about bandits?

They made wire fences and hedgehogs work' date=' didn't they? It's sort of similar. And it could just be an action for zombies to tear at the boards, with a set timer for completion like when we put on a bandage or whatever. [/quote'] Yeah that's true. Hopefully it could be implemented then, but like barbed wire and hedgehog's it would probably be abused. I'm all for it, I just don't want to have to deal with barbed wire, hedgehogs and now boarded up houses.

Your character switching stances faster.
Womb Raider replied to Omni123's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Because they've never played Arma 2 before Day Z. -
Is that even feasible in Arma's engine?

Never going to happen. Don't mean to be rude, but Day Z isn't the thing for something like this. You will die, the game isn't going to hold your hand. In a day and age of such hand holding games, Day Z is very different and that's why it is so special. This isn't CoD, BF3, etc, there are no ranks and there never will be. Also there will never be any perks, specializations, skills etc, when will you people learn.
-
No, actually. The only interacting isn't kill or be killed, all because you've had bad experiences with Day Z, doesn't mean you should go OH YEAH SHOOT ME ON SIGHT, I'M GONNA DO IT TO EVERYONE NOW. Be more cautious and honestly you deserve to be shot if you thought walking through the middle of town was a good idea.
-
You lost your gear? So. Get over yourself. Also are you retarded, why would you think walking through a town is a good idea? And then you complain about people killing you constantly, oh ok.
-
Nah, Rocket and the developers are completely unaware of hackers, thanks for letting them know they exist in Day Z.
-
Not sure, I've seen military clothing skins before, but not like you've described.
-
Yep, clearly this.

What is rocket doing about dc'ing players
Womb Raider replied to beanymcbeany's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Fixing it, please don't become one of those people that constantly complain about things that have been acknowledged and are being worked on. Be patient. -
Does sound good in theory. But how many murders are from people gaining the trust of others and then killing them?

If you are new to Day Z, I suggest playing on a daytime server so you can navigate properly at night time.
