Be ridiculously difficult to implement in Arma 2 in stand-alone though, it may be implemented. Personally I wouldn't like something like fists or anything, the last thing I'd be doing is hitting an infected or trying to push it down. You guys may want to spawn with a hatchet, personally I dislike something like this and would never like to spawn with one. I feel as if this goes against Day Z which is a hardcore survivial mod, I should feel vulnerable and defenseless when I spawn and something like this would take that away. Also it isn't hard to find a weapon, even if it's only a hatchet, I walk into barns sometimes and on a bad day I find only one but on a good day I'll find multiple hatchets in the one barn, it gets ridiculous at times.

Well in my opinion why you have to do that is mostly two reasons, the first one being the inventory system from Arma 2 and it's lack of melee weapon friendlynless and also that it shouldn't be easy to use the hatchet as you can just silently make your way through Cherno or Elektro, it should be difficult to use it.

Eight hours is a bit long in my opinion and yeah they would have to be fairly rare. Also zed's would be attracted to the power station so that'd create new interesting gameplay.

Sounds like a good idea in theory. A. How long would the city be lit for? B. How rare would the parts be?

Doubtful this will be added in. When I saw the title I thought you meant use a deck of cards to assign bandits to and such, but even that is a fairly eh idea.

You can use them all you want without being banned by BE, individual server owners and admins though, that's a different story.

Good idea OP, I'd like to see it implemented. It would also promote interesting gameplay. For instance, I'd be walking along with a buddy of mine and my dog and we'd be heading through the forest and all of a sudden a bullet would slam into my dog and kill it and me and my buddy would hit the deck and come under sniper fire, I'd love that. -

As that wouldn't go badly or anything. FUCK YOU ROCKET YOU NEVER TELL US ANYTHING ETC, people whinge and complain enough as it is, don't let them have more. Also like others have said, its an alpha test so we should get patch notes to see whats coming on, whats being tested, whats been taken out, etc. -
ALT+F4 as a defense against hackers.

If I was unarmed I wouldn't let you see me in the first place, I'd be a ghost. More players need to adapt that player mentality, rather than sprinting through Cherno and then coming on the forums and complaining that everyone is shoot on sight. -

AS50, much prefer my one bullet to kill someone rather than having to wait to see what happens. Day Z isn't somewhere where I like surprises as surprise often kill you. -

Something like this would be good, but this would only be possible really in the stand-alone version of Day Z.

Good idea OP, this would be nice for PVP. It would also be good for say if one of your companions is injured but you can't get them up and you want to end their misery. -

I like your idea of item management. But to be honest it really isn't that hard to find an animal that you can hunt and get blood from, sure it might be hard to find things like matches, etc, personally I think it should stay that another player has to give you the transfusion. -
Not a bad idea, I'd like to see something like this implemented. Probably not in Day Z's current form, you'd have to wait for stand-alone in my opinion. Also I'd certainly be doing Kamikazhee attacks.

Personally I like it quite a bit, it kills most times with one hit. It does have drawbacks, but I think its worth it. I personally use my Makarov or 1911 to take care of zombies. -

I personally like playing at night time, not in the darkest of night, although I have played in servers like that before. I like to play on servers where there is still a pinch of moonlight so I can see relatively around and when I'm playing at night time I use flares and chemlights a lot, I don't know about you guys but I like playing at night time. NVG's should stay in Day Z, mostly because they are very hard to find and when you do, you should be rewarded. I'd also like to encounter someone wearing NVG's at night time, that'd be quite fun. -
Harder for zombies to see you too, I assume.
