I doubt that would ever get into Day Z, maybe through a mod of Day Z. Rocket has said before, if it isn't player-made that it won't happen.

Military simulator etc, etc.

Could Players Use Random Items To Use As Weopons?
Womb Raider replied to obi_james_kinobi's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
How would they make it work? I don't even think that's possible even if its standalone. Seems like a lot of effort and would it really be worth it. -
Standalone - Gun Stores / Police Stations
Womb Raider replied to djzombie's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Unless it is player-made it will not happen. -
That has nothing to with Day Z, its Arma itself. That's just one of the many lovely glitches, some of my personal favorites are the killer trees and the killer gates. It's unfortunate that you had to lose a character, but we've all been there before and we will all go there again most certainly.

vehicles need to be more common
Womb Raider replied to DarkNinja (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Horrible idea, if you aren't finding enough vehicles, go to a private hive. Vehicles were never meant to be plentiful and all over the streets, they were supposed to be a rare find or something to look forward to in Day Z. The main problem is in my opinion, when they spawn people get them and horde them in their bases on the outskirts of the maps. -
Leave it up to server hosts to decide, that way everyone wins. There's that many servers now, it really isn't hard to find one that suits your needs.

If they did it like Day Z Origins has, it would be perfect.

Thanks for this community dev team and Rocket, downloading now, can't wait to play.

Everyone is a bandit on Namalsk
Womb Raider replied to Rick the Survivor's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I can't really say much about that, I just started playing Namalsk tonight and I've encountered about three people so far, one of them just randomly tried to axe me to death after I tried to talk to him so I killed him, the other fired at me so I ran off and the other guy I helped as he was being chased by some zombies. I hope to see more friendly people, people seem to be more friendlier on some private hives. Numerous boats but nothing else yet. They've all been abandoned along the coast by people as they've run out of fuel. -
All that sounds fantastic, but is that even feasible in Arma's engine. I certainly would like to see footsteps implemented as tracking someone through a forest in the middle of no-where would be exciting and very atmospheric. I'm just not too sure if it is possible in Arma's engine and if so like others have said what impact would it have on the server in terms of lag as you'd have a lot of footprints. I like how you've specified what area's you'd be able to leave footprints in I like that and I agree with your points, except once again the whole lag issue comes into play. But mostly great idea and I'd like to see it implemented.

That is unfortunate and I'm sorry to see that you lost all that good gear, but you have to realize that the zombies in Day Z are just scripted NPC's, so naturally there are going to be numerous issues surrounding them. For instance the way they zig zag, I'm sure this is related to. I've been one hitted by zombies before and it sucks but there's not much you can do. Like another poster said its probably a good idea to get yourself a friend to play with.

Held at gunpoint by two hackers (combat timer)
Womb Raider replied to Cassius1988's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
He more than likely just assumed it was public as there's a much higher chance of encountering a hacker there than there is on a private server. -
Yeah, clearly hacked. The only ship I've ever seen in Day Z is the one near Berezino.

Bye.
