Sadly hackers new and old probably look at a place like this as a vulnerable server. a way to test their hacking abilities. Unfortunately, it was done to brutal effect. However from what Vipeax has said the problem isnt so much that now as just takin an proverbial internet wrench to the game to fix up the kinks.

<_< well consider yourself lucky Vipeax. I happened to have a serious problem playing the game and through sheer luck and keyboard smashing. i resolved it. But where were you on my forum when I needed you! ;-;

I would complain more but CLEARLY. You have enough of a demand to speak that I'd say your like the Dayz mascot...which as creepy devil cat..thing. I find amusing for Dayz. WTB zombie cat though.

Vipeax you have the patience of a god. That or ample supply of popcorn and beverage to diligently keep us informed and be so responsive despite the uh..insanity of this forum.

I think what people need to understand is that the creators of the Dayz mod are not some massive game company or even remotely close. to ask professionalism of them during an ALPHA version of a mod is abit much. It's Alpha because its not polished yet. Problems like this happening now will help the Dayz staff learn and fix the problems so when they choose to go BETA or a full release. They can do so.

Secondly I'm hearing mixed sources. are the servers back up, or still finicky? Because I keep getting stuck at character creation.

It's worth noting: I am still capable of killing players(sorry select bystanders), but the zombies seem to act as if I'm completely invisible to them. I'd normally be happy about a glitch like this, but half the game is being careful for people AND zombies.

I thought I had installed the game properly, however I've noticed several strange problems..or blessings depending on how you look at it :P

I can enter third person in the singleplayer games, but on the Dayz mod specifically, I can't see the pulses(for sight and sound),and I can't equip the hatchet as a weapon. Additionally, I can't right click the canned food or canteen to consume.

I am very new to the game, but I'm pretty certain you shouldn't be able to walk right up to a zombie. However, I've been able to ignore zombies altogether thus far and attribute this to some strange glitch.

Also, would appreciate knowing of a method to see if I have the latest version of the game installed.
