Hi. Sorry for making what probably is another thread related to the pricing of the to be standalone DayZ. I was just thinking that most of us probably bought Arma 2 & Operation Arrowhead to be able to play DayZ, saying probably since some did for the base game but from what i can see most of us bought it for the mod that was basicly free. Since most of us spent depending on the country and currency but i did for example 30€ for Combined Operations. Now that it is going to be standalone i feel kind of shafted since my ARMA 2 CO is going to be uselless in the near future. Not that this is very plausible but if for example an account on DayZ was created before the alpha sales start could they get DayZ for free? Since Bohemia did get a good amount of money from every player already which was pretty much meant for playing the mod. And it would be a great PR boost for the company and the game. Now do i note i dont know much about the stand alone yet since there is not so much news on the subject so to avoid incoming rage keep that in mind. Or perhaps even more not plausible thing, a full refund. Again great PR if a customer wants to refund a purchase if he/she did buy it for the mod and would actyally like to have it when it is finished, since its going back to bohemia in anycase. (And techincly they would not be losing anything since they bought Arma 2 for DayZ and it would simply actyally go directly into the game now.) But that would probably be a huge hassle so who knows but one can always wish. And yes i know that ARMA 2 will be kept up do date on DayZ development but i have not read that the finished game would actyally be in Arma 2. If it will actyally be then i apologize for this but incase not could something like this be done?

Incase you read this rocket any idea when you can implement a feature to a mod that a magazine that is in the gun wont show in the inventory and stays in the gun (with a mag removable feature of course, Put in/Take out magazine.) Since it does not really make a lot of sense that the magazine that your gun is firing from is in your backpack taking up valuable inventory spots.

Not sure if this has been said yet but a timer from logoff is a bad idea since if for example a server is running a different version, or its night and a player only wants to play days. Or if for example he/she runs into a server that has spawnkilling bandits, and all of those repeatedly. (Sure slim for multiple chances but it exists, everytime i join there are atleast over half of the servers always nighttime no matter the timezone server i enter.) Also please define how does the server define if you are logging off to avoid death? It could simply misunderstand a player who is doing that and mix it with a player who is disconnecting but for example has muted his/her computer and is indoors so wont see/hear the zombie yet. Sure im not telling what to do but i am telling what not to do. P.S. spawning without a weapon is fine. New players (which i was a bit over week ago) learn the spots of weapon locations fast, or they will just google it. Altough zombies seem to have super hearing & vision.

I still need help. im at an factory between Polana and Orlovets. On the road between them in the main building and a zombie attacked me out of nowhere and knocked me out and broke my leg. Safe for now but i dont have anything to fix my leg with. Steam name is my forum name.

Hello. Been playing the mod for few days and loving it thus far. Altough im dying, a lot due to bandits but well that's the risk for looking for essentials (map, compass, matchbox) in towns. In anycase i was wondering that am i doing something wrong or are the backpacks just broken? You spawn with the patrol pack. And from what i hear its supposed to have 8 inventory slots. Oddly enough mine has 13. And no matter what backpack i use it does not change. I have found and used Alice a lot and it never changes. Also just an off topic question. Is it true that FN FAL ammo only spawns in heli crash sites?
