I was scared when I logged in last night and found myself in the middle of a gunfight! Other than that, Night time scares me in this game, it's just too tense for me! :P

SideStrafe and CHKilroy's videos along with various forum posts convinced me to dive in :)

I think I sort of like the map size to player ratio. Right now when I enter a town, there's some ambiguity as to who is actually in there, if anyone at all. It kind of makes the eventual run in with other survivors all the more meaningful.

I bought ArmA II, OA and PMC. After reading a few stories posted in a NeoGAF thread and checking it out on YouTube, I couldn't resist. Worth every penny. More than happy to support Rocket's "fuck you" to all those video game exec's who told him the concept would never work.

Within the first 10 minutes of starting my first ever character, I was shot in the face upon meeting a fellow survivor. Now on my third character (Recovered my gear from my second!) and the last 5 survivors I have met have been friendly. What really makes me paranoid and anxious, is the lack of communication, whether it's because they don't know how or just want to remain silent with their rifle steadily pointed at my head... Many times I've been close to just offing someone because they seem SO suspicious.

I too have been experiencing problems today after, for the most part, connecting flawlessly last night. Maybe the server is taking a serious bashing :P
