  1. But then we would need some kind of meelee-defense. Like a kick or something. that way we can push them back/make them fall... Also if you got slow and rotting zeds maybe give them a chance to trip (also a chance to break a leg from this, if they are more rotten) and crawl onwards.

    You can find baseballbats everywhere. As long as they are wooden and not metal they are not that expensive, i guess. And especially in eastern "europe" Kids wanna play american sports. Thats how those get spread over the country.

  4. Radios? Hmm... would not work for me, we use our teamspeak-server. Even when I think we should use inGame-voicechat more... the ts3-quality is just too good to not-use it. And especially when you are guiding your people in and out a building, while sitting on the treeline with your binos.

    Sorry, I do not know how to do stuff like that. All I am able to is doing some photoshop-work. But I sadly got no idea about databases and what is possible with PHP, so I just wrote down the idea. ;)

    Why? Just use a smaller backpack-model and put it on the front (chest) of your char?
  8. See this: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=23249 A bit lower there is the Idea to build small palisade-walls. I would not go that far to add some NPC-guards. But at least build something a bit saver then the usual tent+wirefence-castle would be cool. Building Deerstands as lookout-towers is a good idea, too, I will add that to my idea (with a link to here), thanks.

    I like that Idea. I also wondered if that small backpack maybe is an extra backpack, because its kind of sensless. But it goes to the back and replaces the backpack. :(
  13. Hoiz. I saw some threads with a well-descibed idea and between some good posts that improve the idea somebody answered something like "nah this is shit", Maybe there could be a function be added that lets users with a set amount of Posts flag answers as inappropriate/contraproductive? If enough people flagged it the post becomes hidden/spoilered (including the avatar and the signature) and can be shown by readers choice. This way the idea-bashing will be more limited. Posts like "This Idea is shit!" will vanish and - so I hope - more "I dislike that idea because..."-posts will appear. waiting for the "This Idea is Shit"-Post now, --Niemand

    Yupp thats exactly what I am talking about. ;) I know there already is the "Report"-button, but we cant annoy the mods everytime we think a post shouldve not been posted. Of course that flagging-option is only available for users above rank one, so newtrolls cant simply flag everything. Edit: Also this button is not available on the opening-post. ;)

    10k for a Avatar pic is way too low..

    My avatar is. And its made with photoshop. I just saved it as a .jpg and lowered the quality. Usually I use .png but in that case it really wouldve been around 15kb. But there are absolutely NO quality-differences at all. 100x100 px are too small to see those. Edit: Wait a sec. where is my avatar? :O Edit2: There it is. And sorry, i made a mistake. I use a .gif. the .jpg is 14kb, while the gif is 4kb. Also, as I said, with 100x100 no quality-differences.

    Nice Idea, indeed. Maybe even have a very very small chance to spawn some common ammo in a trashbin..? Or other things like bandages (RP-reason: old clothes or towels that can be ripped in stripes, as bandages.) and matchboxes? But yah, mainly empty bottles and cans, scrapmetal. once in a while food and soda.

    I got not everything, but a lot. My char is alive for 3 or 4 days now. On one side a wipe would suck, because I am where I am. On the other side... everyone gets wiped, so we can start new as a group, maybe be first at a car and get that. :D

    But then the vehicle spawns should be a bit more often. Because people/groups of people will simply hoard those. :( All in all I love this idea!

    Thanks. And yupp. Also it would be some kind of advertisement for the mod. maybe provide the bbcode for players with the link to their playerprofile on the website (if that will be implemented somewhen in the future). Maybe fill up their HP by 1 for each unique click. (Just kidding. :D)

    New Zombie map (Namalsk island)

    60 people spread over 600km² is alright so far. As long as you spread out the villages and towns more. The Chernarus-Map simply is too packed. There are nearly no quiet spots where you can hide/setcamp between the villages. Only the corners have a bit of quietness... but not enough, since people use it as a easy-travel-route (what is alright imho. you need that, too.). So if you have a bigger map with less towns/villages, then people would still meet in the cities. Like they do now. :D

    yeah but if you are in a firefight you can not always wait for the guy to stand up, salute and turn around himself 3 times. You have to aim fast and shoot fast. And a visual, like coloured clothing or an armband would be perfect.

    Cooked meat takes one slot each. ;) But yupp, your idea is not bad... but I dont really like the idea of rotting food. If it comes in, I will deal with it - as long as food does not rot in 5 hours after cooking. (should be 24+ imho) On the other hand I would love to see more kinds of food (maybe add apples). But that is low priority. :D

    A way to identify your mates

    whatabout using the scrollwheel. => "Form Group" then the group-founder can hover a player next time himself and use the scrollwheel to => "Add Player to Group" - Now the name of that player is always shown, as long as he is 500* meters away. Here it does not matter on what kind of difficulty-server you are. It is shown on Regular, Veteran and Pro. (This is the Idea I like most. that way I could easily see who is who of my mates. Who sits in that tree on the other side of the road, who is crawling into the house from front and who from back.) - Or there is a blue Icon shown on that player (above his head or in the center of his body). - Or the clothes of the player become special. like blue jeansclothes, for example. (if he wears a camo or ghilliesuit that one becomes blue). If you dont want to have that player in your group anymore you can use the scrollwheel and expell him from group in a little group menu. There you can also promote and demote users to groupleaders. [scrollwheel] - => Group - - => Expell Member - - - => - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - => Promote Member- - => - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - => Demote Member - - => - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - => Leave Group - - - - => Sure? Y/N The system automatically removes a player from the group if he made two* groupkills in 24* Hours (aka teamkill = kills another member of that group). Edit: I wrote "one groupkill" before, but once it can happen on accident. second time means it was intentional OR the player is a moron. I also added the time-limit now. (sorry about the - - - lines, tab-spaces are not working. :( ) * suggestion-digits. Its up to the devs to decide how much/far it should actually be.
