I got painkillers and bandages when I spawn. :O but nah, If a nub spawns with a makarov he does most likely not learn to get around Zeds. If there is no weapon at spawn all those morons that are not able to get a weapon are sorted out. Call it Natural Selection.

We did run around Zeleno, knowing three carspawns there (two cars did blow up on us, another one went missing). But since then we did not find any other cars nor did we see/hear players driving around. I understand that cars should be a bit rare. But they should simply respawn after 7 days. if "in use" or not does not matter. Because anyone who gets a car will bring it to the woods or wherever and never drive it again because he does not want it to get destroyed. shitty idea. We, as a group of 8 people, would love to get a car to go around the country a bit. Of course we would hide it over night, while we are off, and drive on the next day. But we would not hide it somewhere like squirrels hide their nuts! :O

if its a hot (and shaved!) hippychick, I would not mind her being chained to me for a while. She could not even protest forever, women cant stand me after they know me better. :D But this suggestion is simply epic. Count my name in! :D

you played on 7wind? :D But of course, I will try to work over the idea a bit tomorrow (adding what you named - limiting the claimable zones to villages). Also I read someone saying something about using generators to use as switch. would make more sense. -

yupp I thought I only did record like the end but seems like i recorded it all. :D Sadly I am new to using fraps and got only around 15 fps while recording in DayZ, so I am not used to using it. Maybe I will be, when I use it more for Warband/cRPG. -

decoding it. hope everything works. I got around 38 seconds of dying and german babbling/whining. Hope that does not offend you too much. If it does: f00! :D Its decoding, I will not resize it, so its 1920x1080... lets see what youtube does to it. EDIT: here ye go. can anybody tell me whats the bb-code for showing youtube-vids? cuz does not work. :O -

We were there (on LU14), too. 5 people in one teamspeak: - Niemand - Anton - CaveSquirrel - CMM - Rother we just had to restart and did run lucky with equipment-raids (what took us 2 hours)... now we gotta find stuff again, I frapsed a part of the massdying after I died... until we all got kicked off the server. If you need that feel free to tell me, then I will upload it to youtube. -

Hoiz. Just wanted to know where the star-ratings are gone to. With them I was able to rate ideas without doing "spamposts" like "I like it!" or "I think this idea is so bad!" While writing this my thoughts did go on and I understand that those posts did bump the idea up. So my new suggestion would be: Add a like-button and everytime somebody presses it the post gets bumped? And in the thread-overview it could give out the count how many likebumps the thread has got. Also, people could get a counter below their post-counter how many threads they likebumped. - maybe this can also be added to the forum-rank-formula.

Mh. I would make them be killable by body-damage. But a lot harder then before. And think about weapons like the .50BMG. if you hit a dead body with that it goes flying... If its already rotting... well... it would break to flying pieces. -

Dude. We already have the idea of survival in Real Life. No winning. Just death. Now this is a computergame. Something where we can step away from our sad ending RL and aim for a goal. Not having a goal in a game is like... like... well I could just simply go outside the house (ewww!) and wander around or go clubbing instead of gaming. Dude. Naw. Still like the Idea even with those depressing and pessimistic replies.

Intro This is an Idea that I came to, reading "The Ultimate Goal" topic. I also use some ideas from there in this thread - at least the "build a ship"-part. I made a new thread for this because I think it is not only an extension but gathering more Ideas together. People also are asking for a new/bigger map here (url outdated, sorry, dunno what thread it was in. :( ) and in some other threads. The Idea According to "The Ultimate Goal" People will have to find parts for a big ship and build that together. Maybe that ship ports to the port on another island? Like "You reached level two!"? There would be less players and maybe the survival is a bit harder, you rarely find ammo, except the ammo you bring with you? Maybe some new kind of Zed appearing in a 1/30 chance? (A Tank-Zed would be one of many Possibilities). Maybe heavier vehicles like a HMMWV ("Humvee") or a tank (May be overpowered). Also there would be a high difficulty because people that come to the island will maybe directly be ambushed by bandits that need ammo. There other players could step in, like forming a NewcomerDefenceForce (NDF) and secure the area. If you die on "Level 2!" you will respawn in Level one (maybe have a second try in Level two, spawning a bit away from the ship/port without equipment). Features of "Level 2!": - New/Bigger Map - A goal to aim for - longtime-motivation - More Coop-play - Higher difficulty when you reach "Level 2!" - Higher Serverload thanks to another Land on the server - Higher Serverload thanks to more Zeds - High amount of coding needed, thanks to the ship-building/teleporting/new stuff-parts of this Suggestion - Another Area, with less players, less ammo, (less food?).
