I just love how people talk about duping to counter hackers when in reality they are no better than the hackers. In fact, I would say they are worse. At least hackers don't try hide the fact that they are cheating scum, or try to justify it with some stupid reasoning.

I don't understand why more people can't put the game aside and play something else.. Every game out there will get boring eventually if you play it hours and hours each day. There is no point in burning yourself out before we even get something official. Let it go people. .

Pretty much this.. I'm sure my official hive character has been alive for around 20+ days now... Not sure, have not logged into an official server in quite a long time. Not much of a point anymore.

Have you looked at the Server Reporting forums lately, or ever looked at them at all? Admins already do whatever they want and no one from the DayZ team seems to care.. You have a better chance of getting the server owners (the guys they rent from) to shut them down than getting the official team to do anything. I honestly can't say I've ever seen a sever shut down even if it constantly breaks the rules, and this has absolutely nothing to do with what stage the game is currently in. Standalone will just be another alpha anyway.

So you are saying playing without people = playing without hackers.? You guys just blew my mind! Seriously though. If any of you guys need help, I would be glad to take you under my wing and show you the hacking problem. Shouldn't take more that 10-20 minutes depending on loading time.

Glad we have some many people "testing" these cheats and exploits for us LOL.

I just don't get the point.. There are only 2 reasons in my mind to build an base. 1. To protect your stuff - This goes against the whole idea of the mod and permadeath.. It will basically turn into a game where you: Spawn > Run to base > Get all the great gear > PVP > Die > Repeat. There will be no more debate about it, it will just be a long deathmatch. 2. To stay safe - This actually goes with the idea of the mod, the idea that you should get some food/water/tools and go sit in the woods where you are safe from danger. Its boring and no one wants to play like that. Once you make it to your base, then what? You sit there safe and sound and you won the game. The only cool thing that might come out of it is clan battles. Still what's the point of attacking or defending a base that doesn't do one of the tings I mentioned above?

NO, it won't.. I've read enough replies to see I'm not the only one that 1st person makes sick in this game, and it has nothing to do with head bob.. I can't play long in 1st without feeling dizzy like I'm going to vomit. Its only the 2nd game I've ever played in my 20+ years of gaming that has ever done that to me. Including playing waaay too many hours of FPS including many long marathon sessions. No surprise that people take the most legitimate complaint in this thread and ignore it.

If balance doesn't matter in this game why was the other thermal removed?

I remember when I was a kid, back before the internet was everyday life. If you cheated and were a little Dbag all the time, you could expect to get a regular beating until you changed your ways. If you never did change, you wouldn't have any friends soon enough.. Do yourself a favor and ditch this kid, he is probably a little week loser who will just hold you back.
