Never trust some random who says he is not alone, you are just doubling your chances of getting killed. Considering that is already going to happen 99% of the time, your not doing yourself any favors. As soon as you hear "I'm meeting up with" or "My friend is" don't even give him a chance to finish, just shot him.

There are also so many factors like bugs, glitches, hackers, etc.. Saying 10% of people die from bandits might be fair, but lets not act like that means 90% die from zombies. That can't even be close. It could easily be completely even, but with the way the stats read it will never show.

LOL Better hurry and store your important stuff in your tent/car and sprint to the NW airfield for 1 last "hardcore PVP" session.. Soon death might matter to you like it does to us carebears.

I'm sorry but you are a special kind of person if you really believe only 10% of legitimate deaths are from other players. If you knew anything about stats, odds, and probabilities you would know those numbers are completely worthless for figuring that out.

Not bad op. Almost every reply is horrible though. One again people are saying no because its boring for them. How much of a selfish little brat are you to say something like this. You want to deny someone something they might enjoy because you don't care for it. Its not affecting you in any way. If I don't like baseball then I don't watch it. I don't demand they take it of Tv or stop playing. If you don't like the way this sounds, don't play it. Obviously this is leaving out the fact that we would need different characters, which anyone who read the OP should know.

If an item takes up 2 (or more) spots in your inventory does it do the same in your tent, or is 50 items regardless. Never mind, tents are different than inventory.. Google is amazing.

So you can't make your stuff 100% safe and cheat death (as easily) anymore... Is this a complaint? Seriously? Not sure if this is real life. I just got my first car and I can put everything in their besides a sidearm and an extra backpack, then sprint to the most popular areas with no worry at all about dieing. It completely changed (broke) the game for me. When death doesn't matter in DayZ, you are not playing Dayz anymore.. Funny that something you guys can't live without is something I'm probably going to give up (by choice) because its game breaking IMO. I don't even park my shit off the map BTW, so even with a much higher chance of my stuff being found, I still think they are stupid and against the whole idea of this game.

Of course not, never get attached to your gear. I just always wondered if one was better than the other. It still never hurts to increase your odds right. Edit: Also, I read that items in backpacks (in Vehicles) get deleted with every server restart. Maybe someone got confused?

Isn't there a small chance you spawn in Stary, or is that just a myth like Mountain Dew?

So I stumbled across my first tent city today. They had quite a few vehicles and tents set up. I took what I wanted, and a vehicle for myself. I also moved 2 to a spot a good distance from their camp. Planning on parking them on popular roads as a present for randoms, but it was taking too long. Have you ever drove a bus through the woods? Its slower than crawling. I'm wondering what to do now. Part of me just wants to leave them alone because I probably caused them enough grief. Another part of me says screw the hoarders, this is why all the new players can never find cars. So I am going to leave it up to you. What should I do? 1. Leave them alone. 2. Post the server so bandits can have their way with the camp. 3. PM a few newbes the server and location so they can try a car. Lets hear it before I get impatient, leave my gear in my car, and drive a bus through Cherno honking at randoms.

Okay so here are the results. I spread out the cars all over the map. Parked half in the middle of nowhere, and the other half in random towns for people to find. They better be grateful too because it took hours to do. I also destroyed half their tents, only the ones with loot in it. All their cars and extra gear is gone now. So I did a little bit of everything, but I hope you know I only destroyed their stuff for you guys. So your welcome. I feel so dirty now. Best loot of the night: cayote backpack (first one ever), SAW w400 rounds, M107, Binzon SD with 5+ clips. Oh, and a car for myself of course. I feel a little better now. Going to try not to get attached to it though considering I will probably lose it or get myself killed driving it. Also feels kind of like a free respawn cheat. If I died I just have to make it back and I'm fully geared up. Highlight of the night had to be driving to the NW airfield and speeding around the runways while honking my horn. I was on the runway for a whole 15 seconds before I was being shot at by at least 3 different people, all from different sections of the airfield. I just swerve from side to side as I drive by each shooter, honking at them the whole time, then speed off after I see zombies running their way. They never touched me and I got away safely. Best night of DayZ ever,

How do I destroy it all with my 2 g17 mags and a dmr?

I (they) have no grenades. I'm also not running anything over and killing my character unless its something more exciting than destroying their camp. I could post the server and 20 people would run to do that for me. I'm going to count you guys as voting for #2.

Just wait until you find a vehicle, I've found 3 and haven't lived longer than 10 minutes after finding them. A little tip, if you hit a tree at 5mph, get out and sprint away asap. If your lucky you might not die in the fiery explosion. Its actually kinda funny, reminds me of those movie/tv parodies where a bicycle goes off a cliff and explodes in a huge fireball.
