This may be a video game but the way you present yourself (because we're all Marines 24/7) will be indicative of the image that is represented to everyone else of how "we" act and conduct ourselves. I think the majority of encounters are good natured but both sides are fearful of what the other may do which tends to lead to a gun fight of some sort. Player tags and groups would be helpful to mitigate this I think

Honestly, it's a game I wouldn't get all worked up over something so small. So someone closes their game, who cares. It's a game, not real life. This isn't the Matrix where people jack-out.

I usually just ask people if they have ventrilo and can jump on the server with us, if they do then we generally are able to trust them. Most asshats won't bother to jump on vent with us.

Had a guy shoot me in the back the other night after I offered medical assistance. We sat inside one of the Cherno hospitals, he asked me if I needed ammo and how much I had, then asked if I needed blood and how much I had. He then turned around as I was on the ground and started shooting me with his dinky Makarov. I ran off and eventually got taken down by zombies, which he tried to take my gear after but a friend that was with me ran over and axed him to death :) Didn't get a name but... yeah... some people.
