  1. I just started this game. I just loot one of the big cities in the beginning, then head north for the rest of that guys life. I found that the hatchet is a huge help though, I must have killed 100 zombies with that thing by now (that was an exaggeration,in case you didn't get it) I'm new, and this isn't unplayable. My only problem at the moment is finding ammo for some of the guns, but the revolver can get me out of most tight situations, so I don't really find that troubling.

I think that gun would kick ass in a zombie apocalypse, considering Ammo is everywhere, and you can use it to hunt zombies as well as game. Anyway, if it could only kill small game as everybody here seems to say, why the hell do the Navy SEALs use it?
  3. Why' date=' yes. Yes I am. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. That is the total number of guns I've found since patch [b']1.7.1 was released, which was how many weeks ago now? I'm not talking about one night of play, here. When I say "dozens of spawns" and "hundreds of looted structures", I am not exaggerating in any way. Thats odd, because I got the patch finally working yesterday, and I've found 2 empty Makarovs, a Revolver and loads of Ammo for it, a Double Barrel Shotgun, countless hatchets, and AK with no Ammo and nice Winchester( and like 5 Lee Einfields but they don't count as guns). Moving On. I really don't get the problems people are having with zombies. I've been caught a couple of times In Elektro, but all I had to do was get my hatchet ready and carve them up, only down like 2k health after a couple of these melee mash ups. The zombies seem easier to sneak past for me, although I might just be getting better. All in all, I'm loving the new patch. I've died like 5 times already, but I've had endless fun doing it.
  4. The new updates do focus more on survival and zombies, but personally, I think taking away side chat(or whatever it's called) doesn't really help co-op. People could go"Help, I'm dying, anyone willing to give me a transfusion?" And people would come, and you would probably eventually team up with them for a bit. Now you can't, although having no gun at the beginning does make everything less deathmatchy, even if it is a bit annoying for the first bit of playing.
  5. The general thing seems to be that it's irrelevant, but I'm just going to check if this thing that happened to me with the error is possible: I spawned near an airfield, went to the airfield and when I got there, I couldn't Find a SINGLE piece of loot that wasn't just old cans.
  6. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but my action menu seems to have gone missing. This is a really big problem for me as, well, I can't open loot anything. Is this related to the "bin config.bin/cfgweapons" error I get?
  7. Hold your horses, I already followed that guide! I'll do what you said about the CMD file though, thank you for the help. EDIT: I deleted the CMD file and did that integrity check. Now when I boot up the message "Error creating 3D graphical engine" appears.
  8. Hello, my name is Qill and I am having a host of issues with the new beta patch. I am using Arma2:Operation Arrowhead with Arma2 Free,both from Steam. I have replaced the "arma2oa.exe" file in my Arma2:Operation Arrowhead folder with the "arma2oa.exe" file in Expansion\beta. However I did back up the original version. I have downloaded the latest DayZ files from the SWE(Sweden) link. I am running Windows Vista, and i believe I am fully updated. I followed the guide that LVG posted to install the Beta(http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=13684) and I am using these launch paramaters in Steam: "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -mod=@Dayz". I have also completed the edits that the day z wiki told me to inside the file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd", a link to the download of the file is at the end of the post. I followed this guide for installing the Beta patch (http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_install_DayZ). If I left out any info please inform me as to what. Moving onwards towards the errors I am getting. Just a quick note, I realize that these errors have all been posted before and have been fixed, however these fixes have not worked for me. When I first boot up Operation-arrowhead in Steam, it shows me a menu, asking what I want to do. I select launch Combined-operations. It then shows a a new steam window that says launching Operation-arrowhead. After this it shows a CMD like menu for a moment and goes into the Arma2:OA loading window (the one with the boxes and ticks inside them) and during the loading process it appears with the message: "addon 'dayz_code' requires addon 'cabuildingparts' I press okay and the loading finishes. The screen then goes black as it launches the game. The loading screen appears ( the one with the loading bar and the tank). At the end of this loading time the menu loads and I am given the error: "no entry bin/config.bin/cfgvehicles\citizen1.scope" I press okay and attempt to join a server. Upon reaching the select team window I am kicked with the message: "addon 'dayz_code' requires addon 'cabuildingparts" I do not know what to do with all these errors, and help given is much appreciated, thank you, Qill.
