Hi, Firstly let me apologise for your experience, this is not the service we aim to provide. The reason staff cannot register people at the moment is due to an error with "Registrar" server group assignments, so I apologise on behalf of proskater that he was unable to register you. Also I would like to point out that proskater is part of the server development team as opposed to community management, although at present there is not a system in place to inform you of staff roles. If you would like me to create a channel for you, I would be more than happy to do so and give you administrator privelages of it until we are able to register you and allow you to create your own channel. With regards to your comment of the channel being poorly ran, I personally believe you just caught us on a bad day where we are experiencing privelage difficulties - these problems are being fixed and we hope you return. I hope this helps

You can create your own channel - just go to the "Create Channel Lobby" then right click the channel name and "Create sub channel" :)

Make sure you have the latest version of DayZ and the latest beta patch installed. Also check the server you are joining is running the same version. Downgrading clients may work - I'm currently running 1.7.1.5 too

You probably didn't completely uninstall. Uninstall the game via control panel, and then delete the remaining files from your Program Files. Then redownload the game from steam and reinstall it completely. Before you try that though, try uninstalling the DayZ mod and reinstalling it manually (without the use of Siz Launcher). It will only take 5 minutes and may save the hassle of a reinstall. Arma 2 requires Arma 2 and Arma2: Operation Arrowhead. Combined Ops is just a combination of both - it's fine to purchase both seperately. After reading that question, it appears to me this may be your first time installing the game - ie an installation error as opposed to data corruption. Make sure you are using the same Arma 2 profile - settings are bound to each profile. You can select/create/edit profiles by clicking on "Player Profiles" (or similarly named) from the main menu in Arma 2: OA Edit: Oh, and your profile is in My Documents/ArmA 2/Your_arma_2_profile_name (ARMA2OAPROFILE file type)

So it's not the registry thing... hmmm. This is definitely an interesting topic, I'm afraid I can't be of much help at the moment but I'd love to know if/how you solved it so please keep us informed. Downgrade both clients to a previous beta patch and to DayZ 1.7.1.5 installation and see if it works - that will prove/disprove your hypothesis

If that is not successful - uninstall and reinstall your dayZ mod completely. Make sure the server you join is the same version as that which you have installed (If using Six Launcher, the latest would be 1.7.2.3)

It's a server side issue by the looks of it - a few days ago server owners had to update their animations file - I think the server you are using hasn't updated.

If you need a partner, I suggest joining the DayZ public teamspeak 3 server (IP: ts.kgservers.com) - Just download TeamSpeak 3 and connect to that IP - there are dozens of survivors/bandits and groups in the same position as you! Doc

Exactly, the 10 minutes you invest in setting this up means all you have to do is double click one file to change accounts instead of logging out/in to steam, opening the game, closing the game, opening a DayZ Launcher etc etc
