  1. So.... yeah... The server is LU120. I didn't log in just incase something fishy was going on....
  2. You clearly haven't handled any top end weapons ;)
  3. Awesome! :beans: I only have two - considered buying a third during the steam sales but I didn't see the need. Student loans wont pay themselves :P
  4. I think mine is more user friendly - but thanks for helping people out, although thread hijacking usually isn't cool :P
  5. Teamspeak is a form of communication. In real life you don't have to press capslock to speak, so why do it in a simulator game? Teamspeak channels are a great place to meet people and talk easily with your friends.
  6. Yes, you can do it like that - this saves you the hassle of having to change steam accounts every time. All you do is double click your registry file and it changes accounts. When I have time I will add in a tutorial on how to do this without regedit
  7. I updated this to make it clear that you do not have to uninstall/reinstall Arma 2: OA. Logging in and launching the game from the second account should trigger the key change. "Check integrity of Local Cache" may also trigger the key to be changed.
  8. It's just disappeared off the server list and isn't on Arma 2 Game Statistics server list anymore. DayZ commander is telling me that there is 1/40 people on it with a 10000ms ping. What's happened to it?
  9. First off, learn what you're talking about. Steam *is* third party software plus no software except steam is used in my tutorial - registry editor is an integral part of the Windows operating system. Secondly, I only recommend installing the second copy in order to ensure you obtain the key properly. Simply changing steam accounts doesn't necessarily initiate a key change. I think the combination of my in-depth tutorial and "RTribesman's" inability to understand the term "third party software" clearly demonstrates I know what I am talking about. I recommend just following the guide, Awsomest, and save yourself the invetability of getting stuck and confused.
  10. You can just log in with your second steam account and launch the game using the respective steam account to initiate a CD-key change. It should work, if not reinstalling is the easiest way (albeit the longest). Checking integrity of local cache might also work (not 100% sure). I know registry files look daunting, but setting up right means you wont have to log in/out of steam every time you want to change acocunts. Instead you can just double click a file and it's done :)
  11. I've made a very simple guide for this here http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/32775-multiple-dayz-accounts-useful-for-shared-computers/ Follow the steps slowly and it will be very straight forward
  12. Thank you for your patience guys. Channel is back to full working order.
  13. I had a ghillie in my backpack spare since 1.7.1.5 - when i joined 1.7.2 i lost the one I was wearing, and I still have the spare one in my backpack. Thanks for calling me a hacker...
  14. Delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\Beta
  15. Don't use Six Launcher - it will update the beta patch without asking you. Use DayZ commander instead. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion Uninstall your beta batch by deleting the "beta" folder Install the beta version that the server you are joining is using. If you use DayZ commander, it will tell you the Arma version of the server as "1.61.xxxxx" the xxxxx is the beta version - you can find the corresponding bersion from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/ Note that DayZ commander tends to tell you the beta is 3 higher than it actually is (for some reason). IE if the beta version is 95054 it will say 95057. You can see the actual beta version in the Server name ie (1.7.2.3/95054)
  16. On DayZ commander it's changed to US 909 - anyone know what's going on?
  17. You have to shoot the doors in the middle with the ">>>>>>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<<<<<<" arrows on them
  18. There is a tutorial for it here http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/32775-multiple-dayz-accounts-useful-for-shared-computers/
  19. You can - I have created a tutorial for it here
  20. Hi, I'm sorry it didn't work - but that isn't an issue caused by my guide. You probably need to make sure you have updated to the latest beta patch. This topic might help Also there is no need to run the game through steam, using something like DayZ commander after opening your desired Registry file is much easier
  21. It uses the key for Arma2: OA to recognise your character. My post here might help you http://dayzmod.com/f...ared-computers/ Given that serial codes will be the same, will my playerid be the same? YES If that's true, will I be playing the same character in DayZ with all the same equipment and in the same location? YES Will the new gear/location be saved when I go back to my 1.6.2 gaming instance? YES Everything is stored respective to your game serial key
