  1. Maybe I was a little hot when I wrote that. The update isn't bad, I mistook the Ghillie bug as ghillies being removed entirely. As for bear traps, I still believe they will only be a nuisance, but only time will tell. Let's see where the alpha takes us!
  2. The purpose of this only seems to be stopping people logging in. I can just see these being spammed at hotspots and groups of bandits controlling areas.
  3. My phone usually does the same, very annoying :( Thank you anyway
  4. Thanks, but you actually moved it to troubleshooting
  5. If these rumours are true (I can't verify as I can't even log in) then I must agree that 1.7.2 is the worst update so far. Bear traps - seriously so so lame. Just another item waiting to be glitched and annoy people. Nobody uses tank traps/razor wire to deter people, only to piss them off. This is another one of them... Removing Ghillies? Seriously, I worked hard to find my ghillies in order to better camoflage myself. I know they were buggy, but not much - I've used dozens and never experienced a problem. It's a risk people should be willing to take. Smarter zombies is good, but according to the patch it sounds like zombies will now sense you when you get anywhere near them (although they can't hear through walls as much). Reloading your hatchet was a nice quirk too - made you remember it's a mod and not a game. I kinda liked it, but no complaints there lol
  6. Tell that to my wife. The selfish bitch. Lol'd
  7. No' date=' this is a specific issue that rocket is urgently trying to address. [/quote'] I meant old bug as in it's been around for a while :)
  8. It's probably because of the update. I'm experiencing the same too
  9. Old bugs - I've used both skins multiple times and not encountered any problems.
  10. Just been on and had a good time chatting with the people on there. Thumbs up from me all the way
  11. How often do I have to check them? I mean, I don't want to go to my tent every day and at the moment I just want to have fun in cherno for a week or so. Will my tents/vehicle be safe (in server terms) for a week unattended?
  12. 40 minute journey to the airfield? LOL I could crawl it faster than that
  13. That was nice of you Just joined this TS Server and it looks pretty good! I really hope one of the DayZ staffs picks this up and advertises it for GhillieGhost!
  14. Me and a friend have just experienced the exact same thing
  15. I have used DE9 before and not experienced any problems. I personally believe the restart was coincidental and scheduled. If you shot him with a lee enfield, that gun has bullet drop past 400m. As for missing - everyone misses shots under pressure, especially with a slow gun with a fat sight like the Lee Enfield. Just take it on the chin and come back if more problems occur? You're not the first and will not be the last person to be disadvantaged by a server restart on any server. Nevertheless, server restarts are important for clean ups
  16. People don't realise how boring this game would be without PvP. When you're looting cherno, you don't bat an eyelid at the 100 Zeds around, but rather the thought that there is someone in the northwest fields scoping you out with his AS50 or that round that corner, someone else is looting the supermarket and will pop your head the second you walk through that door. If you moan about PvP, then what is the purpose of the mod? All the game would become is sitting near a lake continously drinking from your water bottle and killing the odd boar or goat. In some ways I agree not everyone has to be aggressive - Why not help out that noob instead of capping him off for his flashlight and bandage... but the thrill of wondering whether that guy will kill you - that's the thrill of DayZ. Thoughts?
  17. People do that for loot cycling - they put all the markets loot in the tent and wait for new loot to spawn. Either that, or they're keeping it setup as they didn't have inventory space. Risky incase they die in the meantime though
  18. It's meant to be realistic, but your life isn't actually at risk. Just go in cherno and have some fun shooting people - It's only a game, survival is optional, entertainment is mandatory.
  19. Welcome to an Alpha, I've lost so much stuff in the 2 weeks I've been playing - you learn to deal with it
  20. http://dayzdb.com/map That should help you. Don't worry, the game is designed to be difficult - you will get the hang of it soon enough.
  21. You get that sound if you were changing sound settings - weren't doing that was you?
  22. but then the servers took a greenarrow to the knee...
  23. Dude no need to the insults. I still play DayZ and I'm just trying to inject some banter whilst we're all bored. I wont kill myself, but I'll see you in Cherno if you want to have a go! (just once servers are back up :P)
