I got an awesome kill today, and got lots of good gear, but I feel a bit bad. I was on a 5 player server, (My friend told me the name of a fresh server he was hosting, it wasnt up, however a diff server with same name came up so I just joined it.) And I was roaming elektro with my AKM, looting, etc. I went to the hospital, and started looting it. When I turned around I saw a guy in a ghillie on the road. I sprayed at him, and killed him. But right before he died. HE said "Dude, come on man, really?" I felt bad, and I could see why he felt bad too. He had a ghillie, an M4A1 CCO SD with 10 SD mags, 2 pairs of NVGs and Rangefinders, a lot of supplies and food, G17, GPS, etc. He had a great amount of gear. But I still felt bad he lost all that geaer, but I still took it. So tell me, did I make the right choice?

He wasn't AFK on the road, I was in the corner of the hospital and he was in the direction of the hospital on the road. So he was going to come in. I was really nervous, in fact right after I was shaking lol. DayZ does things to you... but it wasn't a bandit kill, it was a murder. I thought he *might* be a bandit since he had all that good gear, but I didn't know for sure and just shot.

How about a v3s for stuff for me and my friends? Looking for at least a good gun for each of us

Agree with this 100%. I used to be running at 75fps at high settings now I run 20-40 fps. Truly sucks.

I recommend the server admin check out the logs. Today while playing I was at the elektro hospital roof, looting the medical boxes. I soon heard a ATv, and soon enough, an ATV came into the square. With my lee enfield I shot out the driver, but I shot the passenger, a guy in a ghillie suit, three times, and he didn't die. He proceeded to kill me with a SCAR SD. When I came back, he spawned a weapon for his friend. A hacked gun as well. I sniped his friend yet again, and this time he seemed to have raged. A minute later everyone had AS50s and was teleported to the airstrip, and was soon everyone was killed. Was really annoying.

There were around 40 players on at the time I think, and I didn't see that many teleported. But I was teleported 100%. I'm sure you should've seen all the "blabla has been killed" messages. I wouldve taken a pic, but I aborted right away so i wouldnt get killed

So I was heading into elektro, when I saw a chopper landing right in front of me. I went to it, and the guy said I could join him in the chopper. So I got into the crew chief's seat, and we flew around. He asked if I wanted a chopper and I ofc said yes. So he crashed the chopper, and right when it blew up and i died, i got kicked for Script Restriction. Will BE globally ban me for this? I wasn't hacking, this other guy maybe executed it on me. And now I can't get online, it says there's maintenance going on... :/

So a group of 2 friends and I decided to group up finally, one of my friends gave me an FN FAL as my AKM ran out, my other friend had a enfield, we were set, we went to Elektro, and that's where the fun started, we camped on top of the hospital, we had fun, I sniped around 11 guys, we looted the bodies of course. And i understand a lot of people aren't keen on bandits, but we were surviving, looting, and plus people should know better than running in and out of the office building in the open. Anyways, we were having fun, playing legitly, Not aborting when shot at, but one person decided to do otherwise, he spserver hopped, got on to the tallest point of the hospital (the little second roof whatever thing) and jumped on this server, and shot all of us while we weren't looking. Seriously, couldn't he just do something legit? Pisses me off

Last legit kill was a guy near a heli crash site i was about to raid, it here he was, crouching around it, I unloaded a bullet from my FAL into the back of his skull. Last fun kill was when my friend and I drove a pickup to stary and at the edge of a camp, we saw a player while his buddy was looting the tents. I just drove full speed at the the first guy who was sitting outside the first tent, and he slowly turned around as I got closer, right before I hit him. Honked and he saw me, but by then he flew to the last tent in the sky. My friend got out to take out the other guy, but he aborted.

I found two heli crash sites in the span of two minutes. My favorite gun, the FN FAL was there at both crash sites and I got 8 mags. I also got a DMR with two mags. However, there was also an M14 AIM, which is really rare, and i didnt take it because there was no ammo. I'm so stupid, I didn't think the M14 used DMR ammo. I'd totally take that in a heartbeat. Any of you guys have any moments in which you wish you could rewind time or fix?

Are you talking about Dayz or Arma 2 versions? If Arma 2, 95% of them are beta, and the ones that aren't flat out don't work.

You have your own playstyle, I have mine, I'm camping, you're going around and killing, you're just mad I don't play the way you guys do the main point I'm trying to make is that server hopping shouldn't be allowed. That guy could've easily taken us out from the back on top of a building, but no, he chose to basically cheat and kill us. When did I ever say they were unarmed, they had huge chances to fight back, in fact they killed us a few times but we recovered. You guys are assuming crazily "Up high," yet I see people like you complain all day abou disconnected and server hoppers. Ironic. All I'm trying to state here is the fact that I dislike server hopping because of this. It's not our fault we set up camp and took over elektro, I never said anyone was a noob, they should know better to run out in the open when we killed them 3 to 4 times already. So I started Dayz yesterday and currently am having a great run, I started by crouching into multiple barns, to fine a Lee Enfield and found around 6 mags, I also found 2 soda cans, a hunting knife, and a hatchet I continued on North to find 3 more mags for my enfield, and a van! Too bad another group carjacked it from me at gunpoint. Haven't faced a single zombie/died yet. And I found a supermarket with 5 bandages, 3 soda cans and 4 cans of beans. I also found an m1911 and a map and compass For some reason I can't right click the food to eat it, am I doing something wrong?

So I bought CO yesterday and am looking forward to Dayz. Any tips on getting a good start/surviving for a bit?

I have a 6870 build with an i5 and good parts for around 600 - 700 dollars. Runs Arma 2 max just fine.

So recently, Dayz has sparked my interested and a lot of my friends have told me to get it. But I don't have Arma II or OA, so I'm still considering to buy Arma II: CO, but I wanted to know: Is it truely worth it? I played Arma II: Free, and it's hard for me to get in with the realistic military scenario and the controls. I love the military aspect, but is Dayz worth the $30 if I end up disliking the unmodded version? Another question, I don't have a mic, so will it affect my experience? Maybe a guide to Arma II/Dayz would be great. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
