No need to KoS when the integrity of the average DayZ player is so low at the moment, firing a warning shot over their head unusually suffices, instant ALT-F4...no more threat. Then again I never venture further south than Zelenogorsk.

Nice :) Would try setting up a small one myself just for peace of mind if it wasn't for tents constantly eating or loosing items in this patch :(

PLEASE. bring the starting gun back for use new players.

You don't need a weapon to begin with, you only actually need a gun to deal with other players now, Zeds can be LOS'd without much effort whatsoever. Even the majority of players can be bypassed if you stay out of PVP hotzones and use cover and the terrain to your advantage all the time. No new player needs to spawn with a gun, just use some common sense. Leave the coast, head inland instantly, avoid Elektro/Cherno/Stary/NW&NE Airfield to begin with. Raid every small village/town/deerstand you come across. Within an hour or two maximum you should have at the very least a sidearm plus an enfield/Winchester or CZ with plenty of ammo, food, meidcals, water or soda and a better backpack. Now you can head into the PVP hotzones with enough firepower to protect yourself if you have to. Spawning with a weapon was only necessary when Zeds didn't have any kind of LOS pathing. -
Farthest distance you have crawled with broken legs?

Personally about 3km....which ended in being molested by Zeds just as I reached the hospital  ...was the first and last time I will ever let it happen though. Has never happened since because im almost OCD now about carrying two of every type of healing item (plus cooked meat instead of blood bags as I travel alone). I would suggest if you are ever in a situation where you have to crawl that far for first aid that you just stash your gear then respawn and go back for it. If you are worried about loosing stuff on the ground then make several fireplaces (you get 8 slots for each one) in a well hidden area and use them to store everything but your primary, which you will just need to hope doesn't get swallowed. -

how do you end game? what is end game for you?

I'm currently on my personal record of 68 days survived, with all the equipment I want (exluding rangefinders and maybe a pair of NVG's) I have an L85 and a DMR with a stack of ammo for both and aside from finding the aforementioned optics and an AS50 (found more FN-frickinFals and M14's on crash sites than I can shake a stick at) I have everything I could need to not go near a city, town, settlement or deerstand for weeks. To be honest I'm at a bit of a loss now to be honest as to what my end game is going to be. Most days now revolve around player watching, hunting for animals, finding lakes to refill my waterbottles and roaming the north for more crashed helicopters to loot. I don't enjoy PVP (although I agree it is essential, hearing gun shots in my vicinity is the only thing that gets my heart racing in this game now). Have managed to get through the entire time without a murder or bandit kill and have only ever had to fire one warning shot at a player who was headed directly towards where I was watching him from who promptly ALT-F4'd. I really don't know what to do now, I have considered finding a vehicle and repairing it but driving draws way too much unwanted attention & leaves you very vunerable and securing, repairing, fueling and flying a chopper as a solo survivor is out of the question. My other thought was maybe try and patch up a boat and just cruise it up and down the coast for a week between Kamenka & Berezino providing some kind of ferry service for newly spawned players and giving them a shortcut up north. Although I don't know if I could get close enough to the shore to be heard over direct chat without being too close to be shot out of the boat. Aside from that I'm out of ideas. -
Agreed, if I hadn't been carrying an L85 and a DMR in my backpack already I might have considered it. Was praying for an AS-50 and some NVGs but no joy.

Haven't had any problem finding them personally, between 2 servers and a few hours of gameplay last night I stumbled upon 3 unlooted and 1 looted without even specifically looking for them. Sadly only found Bizons, M14's and both FN-Fal varients on all 4 of them.

The bigfoot "legend" has been around ever since Arma2 released..(check the Bis forums for further reading). It is supposedly seen roaming the woods in the northern most extremities of Chernarus. Some people think its an easter egg, others think it doesn't exist at all. Funnily in the entire time the game has been released (since 2009) nobody has managed to video, screenshot any proof of it whatsoever....Sadly your video is no excpetion.

Just wanted to check if this is the actual current Zed behaviour now. Spawned in for the first time since 1.7.1.5 released at Black Lake, happy to see no problems with my gear, everything just as I left it, was even happy to see food / water / temp levels all perfect. Decided to take a quick trip to the NW airfield to see what was spawning & also to test the new behaviour & player sensing levels of the zombies. Got into the control tower without any agro then found a zombie on the 2nd floor, so naturally had to take a shot to progress, no problems. Naturally first shot aggro'd a number of Zeds and they start coming in from the bottom floor, kill a couple as they walk up the stairs then head up to the top floor to check my back for any coming from the ladder. Reached the top of the metal stairway just as a zombie arrived in front of me. Was about to shoot and he swipes once....and i'm dead. No broken bones, no unconsciousness, no bleeding out. Just 12k blood down to 0 and instant death in one hit. Not complaining although lost quite a lot of decent kit, but is this the norm now? Or did I just get glitched/unlucky somehow?

Ok well after re-spawning it appears I got de-synced or bugged, re-spawned about 10 meters away from the location of my death with the same inventory...
