It certainly shouldn't was just an inquiry. I haven't played A3 multi-player (my copy is on steam) and my A2 install and subsequently all DayZ content was non-steam and protected by battle-eye which has no problem with any HT software. Just wanted to see if anybody had had any issues with HT and VAC.

Rocket already responded to this before the last patch saying that some servers where not whitelisted yet which results in them not saving to the hive. The ones that wern't before have now been added but perhaps there are now more servers which have yet to be whitelisted.

Said this in another thread but I have had the same thing also. Logged out in the middle of nowhere hidden in a bush. Logged back in the next day, 4 people were currently playing, stood up, took one step forward and "You are dead". Had not taken any damage the previous day, was fully fed and watered before I logged out (no status messages). Believe this is a bug of some sort.

Suppressors don't do anything at the moment right?
fortran replied to phisher34's topic in General Discussion
Don't seem to yet nope. Does nothing to 1p or 3p audio or distance and as you said seems to have no difference with zombies either. -
Why do you "have" to feel bad for being a bandit/kos?
fortran replied to Nesuma (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Have absolutely no problem with people playing this game however they chose to. Whether you are a hero, a survivor, a bad guy, a bandit or just a complete a**hole it makes no odds to me nor does it affect my game, nor should it affect anybody else's. Player interactions are and always have been the most high risk, high tension aspect of this mod/game, without knowing if you are going to get shot in the face, handcuffed and robbed, stripped down to your boxers and sent walking away or on the flip side helped, just for saying "Hello" is something that makes this game everything that it is. Everybody should be playing this game as if every single town/village visit for loot, every sighting of a player or every time you risk talking on direct has the potential to be your last. It is down to you as a player to minimize that risk and get what you want without having to end up on the coast. I will personally never kill unless somebody attempts to kill me first and if you ask me for help you will get it, but that is just the way I chose to play just as others chose to play with a completely different mentality. However If you want any kind of respect from me personally as a player you will either play in a similar fashion or you will be a damn good bandit that knows how to control and manipulate another player without ever having to fire a single shot. -
As Rocket said before it's a white-listing issue, I have played on a few of them and had no issue, but it's quite possible some are not listed yet.

Refuse to kill anybody unless they attempt to kill me first. Lived by this rule all through the mod and will not be changing for SA. If you do want to "have a go" though....i have a particular set of skills...

For the love of all things good, if you don't want to lose all that gear you obviously just looted from the military base, do not all sit at the water pump next to each other as a group drinking with your weapons on your backs. Watched you for a good 4 minutes down the optic of my M4 from less than 20 meters away and not once did a single one of you look up or check your surroundings. If I were anybody else you would probably be here on the forums right now writing a lengthy post about how bandits are the cancer of this game. PS: If you wanted some medical gear (which I really think you are going to need if you carry on like that) I left a medical kit in the last house north of the town. Presumed you were headed that way so if you found it, you are welcome.

Is the only game that does this to me, played the mod since the beginning pretty much, now SA, still get exactly the same feeling when I encounter somebody. It's one of the reasons I keep playing.

Great post, would very much hope the proposed radios function in the manner you are suggesting. Would also like to see the addition of terrain based effects on transmit and receive as found in ACRE for example.
-
Could have been, I thought I spotted 4 of you but from my angle it was difficult to tell. Were some of you wearing bright coloured raincoats and/or backpacks? After you were done drinking one of you looted or checked the house directly to the left of the pump.

Absolutely first class! :beans:

As much as this was kind of bs, you really just stumbled head-long in to this scenario and made no effort to change the outcome it in any way shape or form lol. Immediately started talking to a lone armed player before you had observed for any amount of time to see if he was actually alone. Stood against the fence and used 3p to monitor him, but then side stepped against the only "hole" in the fence allowing him to see you through it. If he hadn't noticed that or "heard" your position you then gave it away by informing him that his weapon was pointed directly at you. Ran away without trying to put any objects between you and them to break line of sight. Regardless, I guess it wouldn't have made an entertaining video if you had actually evaded them so good job in that respect :)

Happened to me also in a lake/pond. Backpack and shouldered weapons fell off into the water.

Loving the Standalone......real apocalypse feel.
fortran replied to drewsta's topic in General Discussion
Agreed, the SA is really beginning to capture the right "mood" that everybody was hoping for. As it develops hopefully that will become even more exaggerated. Ignoring the new weather and sky system, just the fact that like 95% of the buildings are enter-able now really changes things so much and not even in regards to having to forage for loot. It's that feeling that every door you open could be your last, or every town you enter you could be being spied on from a hundred empty windows that really sends a chill through you when you come near a place where civilization used to flourish. So far loving it, as I said, I really hope that feeling becomes even more amplified as development continues, because as it is now it's pretty spot on. -
Just had this also just now. 1: Logged out last night between Pustoshka and Vybor out in the woods, middle of nowhere, hidden in a bush. 2: Server I was playing on last night was down so I connected to a new server. 3: Spawned in, everything fine, got up from prone, took one step forward 4: "You Are Dead" Instantly, no gunshots, character was not thirst or hungry or ill, blood was not low, population of the server was about 5 people out of 40 which would make the likely-hood of getting instantly sniped in the middle of nowhere in a 250km squared map pretty low. I am pretty sure it's a bug of some description, but what triggered it I can't say.

Wolves, bears both black and grizzly, deer, moose, raccoons, otters, seals, wild horses, boars, goats. Ok I'm done.

While I very much agree with the idea of servers tied to local day/night cycle in practice it's a little annoying. A lot of us work all day, come home, would like to play the game, but as it stands at the moment I have to make the choice of good ping but constant night every single time I play, or daytime and horrific ping connecting to another country. I don't really know what to suggest aside from perhaps halving the in-game cycle compared to real life or something. It's a shame to only ever see night-time when the game looks so damn good in daylight conditions.

Rocket, I'm using your your picture for facebook.

It's night time. Try find a server in another location around the world that is currently in daylight.

Is it worth buying Dayz standalone yet? [With Developer responses]
fortran replied to Blade4777980's topic in General Discussion
Just do it, has a ton of potential even in it's current state. Things will improve, get patched, get added. It's going to be absolutely first class when it's completed, so why not save yourself some sheckles and get it while it's cheaper. As others have said though, it's not finished yet, so don't expect it to play like a finished game at the moment. -
I went to Green Mountain last night..and all I got was a lousy t-shirt.

Constantly hearing zombies where ever I go. Is this normal?
fortran replied to sai (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Actually think they are under the map in some places. I stopped to take a drink in the woods and got clobbered twice by something. -
Things i think need changing in the standalone
fortran replied to Rockingwolf96's topic in General Discussion
Can't believe anybody would want the old A2 inventory back?? :S Was like having your fingers broken with a mallet every time you used it. The new system is SO much more fluid and enjoyable to use.
