Unless we get flags/effects for murder, this game will just be Deathmatch.

That's logic? ------- Adapt to the game or quit. There is no reason for the game to adapt to you. yeah, ok.. you are an idiot. don't post anymore. Don't just name call, back up your claims. The official stats show like 1.5 million pvp deaths and nearly 5mil pve deaths. Also you realize that as with every game, the forum is a vocal minority of players. So even if there was let's say 100 threads on here about players hating pvp, there are a few thousand people online playing the game being happy. So stop being ignorant and sitting around telling me that I shouldn't post. You're just another player who wants the game to change to cater you. I'm actually against senseless killing, but I'd never suggest a penalty/flagging for pvp. I'm more for giving rewards for staying alive longer which would discourage people looking for fights and reward people who play to survive and who do a good job at surviving. -

Pvp isn't new. This game didn't go viral (no pun intended) due to an awesome pve environment. If you can't survive then you don't deserve to survive. There is a terrible trend of catering to people who refuse to adapt. Too many people hate a challenge. If you don't like playing a survival game then go play left4dead. It's not rocket (pun intended) science. -

Trying to survive by any means possible, insanely low average life expectancy and a very hostile environment. This is considered low level gameplay? Outsmarting and surviving when others can't. Putting yourself against the world, this is low level gameplay? Seriously? -
I've never even thought to try. I've literally never tried to use them at all to be honest. It would be nice to be able to use those as a weapon before you find something more effective.

There is absolutely no reason to discourage murder. You guys are literally trying to kill this game by suggesting things like this. -

These threads bother me so much. In almost every zombie movie the real threat is humans acting in self defense or self preservation. Someone hiding a bite, someone who doesn't trust anyone, someone who cares for a zed and won't let them go, a child who won't listen. Rarely do zeds ever accomplish anything without a human being the real cause of the problem. To strip people of the fear of other people and to take away the self preservation is just against the spirit of the game. Might as well go play left4dead or something. -
The saddest part of this game is how the playerbase wants to stifle any discussion about letting the game evolve because of this dayz hipster mentality.

Frequently hotfixes making the game unplayable.
Swineflew replied to FFrank's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Patches and hotfixes should be scheduled around OPs play times, as to not inconvenience him. He paid good money for this mod so that he could play it when he wanted............ Right? -
To people blocking doors with tank traps
Swineflew replied to slappyham's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I support blockades within a zombie game, however I think that it obviously needs further looking into. -
Finally, the possibility of not losing all your stuff while swimming
Swineflew replied to Charles Manson's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You'd drown from the weight of six cans of beans? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't. Or at least I don't remind any mafia movies where they strap a bunch of bean cans to a snitch feet and toss him in the river. Ha ha, this is what I was thinking also. I mean, a few magazines, some beans and a few cans of soda can't weigh that much. -
I'm sorry this is offtopic, but does it bother anyone else that the walking dead is like the new zombie bible or something?

Let me know when we have better starting items
Swineflew replied to zverofaust's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I wouldn't mind starting with no gun I that didn't leave me 100% defenseless. My last game I knew this other player wanted to kill me, but what could I do? I don't care about starting with a gun, but at least let me punch or maybe even choke people out if I sneak up on them from behind. -
What's the point of shooting zombies ?
Swineflew replied to kevenc's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I don't mind it when I hit the zombies, but those mofos are like dip dodge duck and weave masters sometimes. -
Why is everyone I meet an ***hole?
Swineflew replied to Deacoon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The beauty of this game is in it's penalty of death. I love the fact that people are cautious of each other, that's actually a very important part of a zombie movie/game. The distrust and true human nature of the "every man for himself" mentality of a survival game shines in DayZ. -
Game purchase only, but cosmetic micro transactions are fine (please no pay2win model) Studio developed Both Servers Kickstarter The armas engine is holding the game back. Starting from scrath allows you to make the game more DayZ focused, if that makes sense. If you choose kickstarter, please contact some of the more popular streamers, they'll get the word about about it to thousands and thousands of people.

The Official Unofficial Bandit Removal Petition
Swineflew replied to The Killing Joke's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I personally enjoy the fact that your actions have consequences and stick with you. I feel like the current system needs tweaks, but the community doesn't really like my ideas, so I'll keep them to myself to prevent the "lol codboy" crowd from ruining the thread. Eve is a bad example because corp history, sec-status, your name are all things that you keep with you for the life of your character. If you become a corp thief, you're labeled one for the rest of that characters life, and if you kill people there is a harsher penalty than just changing your skin, and you have to do a huge grind to get back into good graces. I am torn because of the persistent life, and when you die you lose everything theme. So I guess I'm on the fence about this issue tbh. -
3rd Person View, why I support it, and why it should stay in game
Swineflew replied to tearran's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I played more TFC than anything, which is FPS only. My point is I don't understand the concept of third person view being broken, or ruining immersion or whatever the argument is. I don't view it as a big deal either way. If you want to use FPS only, that's fine, but corners will most likely always be an issue for you. I feel like each view has an advantage and to ignore a feature like toggling between views is a personal choice, and also a disadvantage to the player in general. Personally I like traveling in third person and using first person when hunting/fighting/stalking w/e you want to call it. -
Low zombie count/low loot across servers

3rd Person View, why I support it, and why it should stay in game
Swineflew replied to tearran's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I grew up playing a lot of socom, so I guess third person view just seems so normal to me I can't understand the argument against it. -
This whole thread is amazing.

Loadings are getting longer and longer
Swineflew replied to drakenof's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yea, server issues are becoming a problem and very discouraging. -
The map is too big. Well it's not like it's going to get changed anyways. The Dev's know better then to comply to stupid requests like this that take away the experience. And what experience is that exactly?
