I think he means that being cold is a non-issue. I personally would love raid to make you sick unless you find shelter, need to keep warm at night either by fire or shelter. I haven't played in a month or so, but unless they change something, I've never been sick at all. I actually wish there was caves, that way you could find shelter in the wilderness too.

It's in beta now. I've been thinking of dropping $20 to get beta access and a bunch of ingame loot. I don't really like how.. Halo style it looks though.

I don't understand. OP just bashes all types of pvp and some people say he had valid points? Server hopping and ghosting aren't new points. He complains about "deathmatch" style pvp, then bashes "camping" style pvp. Of course people that sit in a bush for 3 hours will have an advantage in combat, they waited for that advantage. Just come out and say you're one of the people who runs around in fields and wants snipers removed because you don't know how to stay in cover.

You really seem to be craving pie all of a sudden lol. Ideally there wouldn't be hacked weapons in the game, I don't advocate using hacked weapons or duping or scripting etc. I don't like how the system is setup at all tbh. I understand that this is somewhat the "nature of the beast" and I shun people knowingly using hacked weapons, regardless of how it was acquired, but what I don't like is innocent players getting punished for other people's actions. I do think there is more that Rocket could do to protect the innocent players, but that's not something that we can count on since he's working on standalone. I hate that there are hacked in weapons and duping and people using hacked in weapons. I hate that innocent players are being punished for playing the game normally and getting banned because they found a hackers body.

Agreed. Luckily for me I work outside. As I write this I'm outside. Enjoy cloudy Ohio weather, bleh. When you want someone to do something for you, you don't attack them. I worked in a call center for awhile as a relationship manager, basically a liaison between the company I worked for and it's independent sales offices. When you're rude and difficult (even when you're right) it really motivates people to not help you. That being said this is just a game, and the admins aren't obligated to help you, so why try and piss them off?

So you guys ban players that login to the server with the weapons, and your way to combat banning innocent players is a motd? I'm having a senior moment, but doesn't that require you to log into the server to see it? Either way I'm done arguing this point. We obviously have different thoughts on the matter, and personally I don't care that you pay for a server. Breaking rockets rules regarding the public hive puts you in the same category as people scripting in weapons. Cheaters.

You should keep this thread alive. It's pretty fun to read. I mean you have a small chance of getting unbanned, but I'm enjoying it. So ignore that guy, I'm loving how mad you are over this whole thing. It makes for good reading.

Funny, the only people defending the server act like giant twats. Seems to be a trend. Join the server if you're a twat. Get banned if you aren't. Joke server, stay away.

Yes walk into a login trap by someone ghosting into a better position. Good idea. I actually like name tags and kill messages, to me it creates a community. I like knowing who I killed and I wish they know who killed them, makes for better rivalries and revenge kills, stuff like that. I don't like how imbalanced name tags are currently and if they fixed those I'd be very happy. Anonymous killing anonymous creates no community whatsoever. Which IMO is bad thing in the long run.

Sorry, I was referring to all the vague generalizations and stereotypes about being a "child" with no actual discussion as to why 18+ is a rule and not "mature members only" is a valid replacement to that rule. Honestly being 18 isn't any different than 17 or even sometimes 16. It really depends on the person.

Then maybe you shouldn't play video games on the internets? A mature 16 year old is going to be less annoying than an immature 19 year old. You don't magically become an a mature adult at 18. P.S. 19 is still a teenager. Hence nineTEEN.

Any special rules or anything? This could potentially be my first private server I apply to and I play mostly a KoS style, so I'd hate to cause any problems based on that. Plus I wanted to post so I can find this thread after work.

This is just an example of a bad server. Name and shame so other people know they use admin powers to exploit and let them defend themselves if they want to deny it. This is a sad risk of private servers, it's sadly still a risk on public servers, but at least if you find a good server it's a good safe place to play and not worry about crap like this.

I'm on my phone so I can't multi-quote so this is going to address a couple posts after mine. He was wrong about what weapons are in game, and it proves my point. He "researched" it and came back wrong. There are a lot of discrepancies like that on the forums. If there was an in/game list that everyone had access to an was the official word of rocket, then this would be a whole different argument. People who post on forums and do out of game research is a small minority of people who play the game. Your average John Doe isn't even going to know that a weapon he picks up could be hacked in, how would he know, how would he even know where to look? The website? No. The forums? No. An unofficial wiki? Yes. Now I 100% agree with letting someone know they have a hacked weapon and making them remove it, if they don't then fine ban them. I do not agree that banning someone for using a hacked weapon that they looted and then making them appeal that ban is the correct course of action. I will never ever agree with the "I pay for it so I don't care what the agreement says, this is my server and I run it how I want". Private servers fine, do whatever makes you happy, but if you're connected to the public hive the rules need followed because what happens on your server has the potential to spill over into other servers. So you may say "it's simple the weapon was hacked in so they're cheating" but the simple fact is that they aren't cheating. They broke no rules, they didn't use any scripts or hacks or exploits. They killed a guy, looted him and are then punished for playing the game exactly how it was meant to be played. I'm not saying let them keep the gun, or that having hacked weapons in the game is good on any level. I don't agree that banning people who don't do anything wrong is not the right way to handle the situation. Again this is all in relation to public servers.

I decided that I actually like playing the game myself and I actually run from place to place. I know it's weird to actually PLAY the game for myself, I'm just crazy like that.

I'm not clear, did you actually get to play before your "friend" had it revoked? I find this whole thing shady tbh, sounds like you used a stolen card to gift yourself a game and it was reported stolen, so I get a hacker vibe right away. I could be way way off, but go ahead and stay away till standalone. Edit: I looked into it further and you've had the game for months, you're telling us you've not only had the game for months you've even played it and you don't know if its worth buying. My red flag is waving.

Just say you're 18. They're just trying to weed out kids. It's not like they have any way to verify your age.

I just wanted to point out that someone who thought he knew what he was talking about was wrong when it came to legit weapons. He tried to prove the point that its not hard to know what weapons are in game and was totally wrong about it. How does an average player stand a chance when even people on the forums who actually do research don't even know?

This is a prime example of why admins are so disliked around here. I pay to host a server so I make the rules. What about the rules you agreed to when you decided to host a server? Rocket pays the bills to host the public hive and if you think it costs a mere 30-40 bucks you're insane. If you're talking about a private hive, I don't care what you do. It you're hosting a public server you need to follow the rules, and since rocket pays more than you, and he said so that's a valid reason, right?
