  3. Many people complain about Zed/Infected being pushovers. I'm one of the people that think Zed/Infected need to have a bigger affect on our psyche. I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks. IMO(In my opinion) Just make it so you have to headshot the zombies to kill them permanently. Solves a lot of issues with Zed/Infected being weak. NOTE: I'm talking when the pathing gets fixed. If you vote please post to keep the thread alive. You could make them crawl or go slower by shooting them in the leg but only truly kill them with a shot to the head. On the home page this is used so the whole realism argument with them not being zombies. Well just look at the picture. Vote above and voice your thoughts below.

Well I searched and couldn't find a post summing up this idea in a good and to the point way so here I go. Have radios in the game that let you talk to other survivors that also have a radio within 4k(can be adjusted if you think this is to small or big). If you reach a radio tower and etc... you can broadcast over the whole map and to devices(Military camps with radios, Tv's, etc...) and to other players with radios. The player with a radio can mute them at any time. Summed Up Radios to communicate to others with radio up to 4k Able to broadcast transmission from tower Why? Its obvious that communication is a problem in DayZ. Most players cannot communicate with others if not in skype, teampspeak, etc... . There is simply no way to interact with other players unless if they are right next to you. The side chat was an issue with blatant voices ruining the games immersion but if you add radios then you can mute them at any time and will only be talking to other people with radios. Your conversation will either end in you wanting to meet up, but a bandit can also have a radio and listen in.

    So we have 89 votes in. Only 1 person has voted no. I think this poll needs more votes but so far it seems like the community wants this as bad as I do. We need communication badly in the game. The inability to talk leads all player to assume the worst from players only being able to read their minds. If you agree with this idea and want it implemented please spread the word by linking it in your description or just tell friend to tally their votes.

    No, it would make doing a broadcast hard and make broadcasts harder to do. This way people aren't so obliged to just do broadcasts all the time or to just abuse it. The little amount of towers is a good thing.

    Ya but for the players looking for groups and those not playing with any and want to communicate. Well this is a great way to do it. Although thinking about that I would not like having channels because it would be difficult to actually find a channelt hat other survivors are using.

    You could have a channel that you and your friend talk on and think its safe but little do you know someone is listening in.

    I'm loving all the yes votes. What kills me is this thing really isn't that hard to implement because the radio tool is already in the game. They just need to give it a function like I described and it would work.

    Saw that but your aren't specific enough as to what the walkie-talkie will do like range,mute, who you can talk to, and such. You also didn't have the broadcast part in there. You basically just say Walkie-Talkies and don't give a clear description of what they will entail. It may not seem like it because of the context but mine is much different than yours. Not trying to offend just stating why I put mine up even when I saw yours.

    I wish he would be fond. Imagination and the just kinda forgetting about realism while playing games is what makes them great. I don't liek to nitpick at everything while playing a game. If it is fun I really don't care. I mean who in Call of Duty: Nazi Zombie mode will say "why do they get stronger it doesn't make sense!"

    Looking back I can see where you are coming from. You put the idea to make the sprinters to hoppers to crawlers if shot in the correct places. I would go put that in the suggestion part as it could actually become a good mechanic if put in.

    If you read the initial post on thread I already stated that with this. You could make them crawl or go slower by shooting them in the leg or but only truly kill them with a shot to the head.

    Like I said in reply to another quote If everyone is concerned about the authenticity of the infected lore then make it so the virus/infection they have also makes them regenerate their organs from a mutation within the brain from the virus/infection.

    When you say realism its kind of a double edged sword. He is trying to get the players/us into believing we are in the shit/zombie apocalypse against infected/zombies that are supernatural to us and take multiple shots to die or take one shot to the head. Trying to get the game to realistically portray a zombie apocalypse yes. Trying to get everything scientifically correct, not so much.

    That brings an interesting idea to life. You could have it so we have the regular infected that are just humans an are the normal zombie now. Then have mutated infected that require a head-shot to be killed. This can be done with different aesthetic changes.
