There will most definitely probably be job openings later on when the game gets massive or becomes its own stand-alone-game. Your best bet is to actually try to contact rocket and team via email or some other way of direct contact instead of the forums. Stuff tends to get lost and I doubt they are able to look at forums for hours on end. I to want to help with this mod already having a GDD(Game Design Doc) wrote up before DayZ that had the same intentions. Open persistent zombie filled world wheer the players make the game their own via creating establishments and making their own homes and etc... For now I'm just posting ideas in the suggestion thread.

The whole reason zombies are a threat is their endless numbers. Are you wanting zombies to be tougher to killed or more shown at a tiem so they don't have to spawn? The only reason zombies are somewhat dangerous is because of their vast numbers. That is how it has always been and will always bee with infected/zombies. then why not just make them immortal? Im all for having loads of zombies, but what happens when i sit there for 20 minutes straight killing all the zombies in the town? Just throw the whole realism concept out the window shall me, if i clear an area, it should be clear for atleast a short amount of time, not as soon as i shoot one, 2 more appear behind me That is where you are wrong. Realism in a zombie apocalyspe is an endless amount of zombies all the time. What kind of zombie apocalypse are you thinking of? You should never be able to ever clear out a town unless if you have a bunch of people with you. Eventually zombies do stop coming. I would show you in one of my videos when me and a bunch of guys were stuck in a building killing zombies at the NW airfield but eventually they stopped and we killed them all for a short time. honestly zombies are not a problem in this game at all. You can run from them, slow them down in building and run away out of the building if it has another exit. That or run up a very steep hill or walk down a sleep hill and they will run and fall to their deaths. -

I can see where you are coming from because as of right now getting all geared up has no incentive. There is no mechanic to help survivors or protect them. Everyone gets bored and just try to kill players. I do like spawning new. Its a new adventure and a new game with a new story. -

So I have an entertaining video of me dying about 4 times trying to get picked up by this random guy on this server. Eventually it happens and me and some other 5-6 random guys get dropped off at NW airfield and go about scavenging with a fight to the death against a horde. Ya it was fun but after I saw the chinook and all the jazz I had second thoughts. But then again who is going to turn down a free ride to NW Airefield? the suv with the minigun was a lot of fun and would be a great way to pickup survivors and escort them. Then again it is a bandits wet dream. I have another vid to put up that was even worse than this. Two naval battleships in cherno with all of cherno leveled. -
All you have to do when spotted is run into a building that slows them down then run out the other end. You missed the whole point behind the idea for the mechanic as well. Go back and read the post because it is about adding a random element to the game that takes away the dull feeling you, yourself, just described. Yes I do want hordes. I want to see a pack of 20+ zombies running at me from 1000m away and being scared shitless and have to think ou strategically what to do to survive this fucked up situation I am in.

Another thought popped up in my head. I know this is complicated but in due time maybe possible. When a player shoots a gun. Based on its level of report this horde that travels on the map then investigates this shot. They will continue to go to that shot until another is made within earshot distance of the zombies detection(1500m-2000m would be a good range) and the they go on to investigate that shot. This will make all static camps very vulnerable and by god will it make you paranoid when you have to make a shot. Sniper will have to keep moving and groups will have to think twice before camping out a spot. Whoever agrees with this idea or think it sounds good please help me get this heard by the DayZ dev team. :)

I tried to help a guy running from zombies on server US 43 Chicago. While he had 10+ zombies on him he had the time to shoot me and break my legs. To then run back and shoot me again to make sure I was dead. I so very much want to hear everyone else's failed attempts to help another survivor because it happens to the best of us. -
When you find 3 morphine in a deer stand when both you and your friend have broken legs. Or whenever you don't break your leg when you get hit by a zombie...

Be aware that someone (an asshole) saw it on forums as well and is now killing people as they spawn in the server in debug. I spawned and ran, instantly died. Just a heads up. -
I'm not here to shoot down the game. I'm here to make a constructive discussion. If you don't like a wall of text I have summed up my points at the end of the post. I have logged about 100 hours into DayZ and in those first 5 or so hours I was terrified of the zeds. After you learn they slow down in buildings, can be outran forever, and die from 1 shot from many guns then they just come off as bloody teddy bears that want a hug. Point is that the only threat in DayZ (or at least to me when I play now) are players and the thought of dying from zeds never even crosses my mind now. This leads to the shoot on site mood in the game right now with so many players. People have no need to band together to defend and save their lives from zeds because they themselves never have problems with zeds. The only time they ever have to deal with Zeds is when they go on supply runs and always at all times know where the zeds are going to be. There is not fear in knowing where your enemy is at all times! That being said if it changes or is adjusted like below then people might start to fear the zeds. - More health/ More shots required to body to kill zed (Hardcore option) In order to kill a Zed you must headshot it. - Zed located in places other than where there is loot or towns. What about roadways with broke down cars! - Make Zeds a little bit faster in buildings - Infected have the potential to make the player Ill - http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2604 I'll save the rest for the suggestion side of the forum but what is everyone's thoughts so far on the infected? Do they scare you? Do they make you laugh? Are they to easy or hard to kill? I would like to know what the community thinks compared to my thoughts of the infected.
