  1. My question is: if I start a new player profile, will it overwrite the one already on this computer? My computer was recently destroyed and I'm still saving money to buy a new setup. Until then I've been watching my brother play DayZ from over his shoulder (and screaming like a madwoman at his back when he's being chased). We both hate backseat gaming and decided, finally, that I should log into my Steam account and buy the game for myself (since he won't let me play his account and I'm a grown woman, dammit: I don't need his score to make me look good). So I did just that. The issue I have now is that when I open the game with my Steam account open it still counts him as logged in. And since I couldn't find a Log Out option on the opening screen I've been sitting here with my thumb up my ass trying to figure out what to do. I see the option "Player Profile" and the selections "New/Edit/Delete". I obviously don't want to edit or delete his account, but since we're both new to DayZ we're equally paranoid about the "New" option. He doesn't want me to overwrite his character by accident, and I don't want to be a douche and charge ahead without knowing exactly what I'm doing. So that's it. Advice? I can see the title is grabbing people's attention (the number of views on this thread is much too high to be from me popping my head in every 30 seconds to see if someone finally responded) but no advice yet. Not that I'm complaining --it's been hardly 20 minutes-- but there must be a really obvious answer if people are going, "Wow this bitch is dumb: well, she'll figure it out on her own." Ha!
