When downloading the torrent i only want to grab the necessary files, ie. the two files for each affected add on, so do i need to get 'dayz.pbo' and 'dayz.pbo.dayz.bisign' every time or is that unaffected?

Various things dropping from main and side arm slots after picking up various bits of loot. -
I agree with who ever said yes to no starting pistol, if we have melee weapons. As crafting is being talked about, maybe there is some way to improvise with items. It would totally add to the realism if you started with nothing, but found a branch, a spanner or a chair leg and had to use that to fend off some zombies before you found one of the (increased spawning) pistols.

Just thought i'd add, isn't it amazing? 70-80,000 people play testing an alpha version of a game, us, the gamers. Not a paid employee of a huge multinational company who is working on bullshit demographics from market research data and god knows what else to bring us the latest in a stream of shit hiding behind small walls games and racist bullying multiplayers. After all the GTAs and the Skyrims, this is the game that shows that gaming is a true story telling artform and people dont need big games companies and DRM and multi million dollar budgets. Well done Rocket, well done Bohemia Interactive :)

New oddness emerging. Everytime i spawn its in water in wilderness as a bandit with a few of the other players from the server. Been fine on 1.5.8.4 for a bit. I did have one other issue. I was jumping back to where i spawned like every five minutes, i would be looking the same way and doing the same thing, ie crouching and aiming or something, but i would be back exactly where i started, i tried to switch server, then i got the spawn in the sea thing. It's all getting a bit 'Lost'. Waking up in different places, not knowing anything, sometimes as someone else

Me too, .4 has not helped Couldnt find any files with .RPT in app data or anywhere on my c:, to help clarify either.

Having the same problem, before and after i have updated to 1.5.8.3. Steam copy. Sounds like perhaps our IDs are mixed up with other peoples characters or something.
