  3. I want the endurance, and larger maps! Make me walk forever, make this game dangerous! Zombie hordes in wooded areas, and very rare military loot! I say this game needs to be AS REAL AS IT CAN GET.
  4. I met two friendlies and a hero in Elektro who all helped me out by giving me food and ammo. None of them were in a group together, just passing strangers. I broke one of their legs to escape 26 zombies.

  7. The way I solve this problem: Instead of flowing my speech normally like I would, I create a short pause between Day and Z, almost as if to say Day-Z.

    Mountain Dew is much more common after the recent updates. Hell, I found three yesterday.
  9. The problem is that they can, but they won't. The DayZ community no longer wants a realistic game. They just want something fun to play. Which is a problem.

  12. As I was leaving Cherno I saw a cow in the field north of Cherno, and I had decided to kill it so I could regenerate some blood. I walked up, and shot it in the head with my Lee Enfield. A zombie ran up shortly after, and I killed it with one shot. Now, having forgotten about the fixed zombie hearing, this was a stupid move on my part. As I was gutting the cow, no less than 30 zombies came sprinting up the hill I was on. A friend on the sniper hill east of me decided to put me out of my misery before it was too late. Zombie superhearing, I approve.
  13. You guys are thinking too much about the Arma 2 engine problems. The SA will be first person only from what I've heard, and they're fixing the FOV problems.
  14. Remember back in the early DayZ when killing 5 people not only gave you the rag, but the cool desert camo too? Well I miss it, and I think that the rest of the bandit skin should be re-implemented.

  17. This is meant to be ultra-realistic. You shouldn't get third person because you can't have a camera behind you in real life. I do however think that you should get a wider FOV in first person. There aren't going to be any perks, there aren't going to be any "safe zones," there aren't going to be any "currencies." It's a fucking total collapse of all social order and structuring. When a social collapse happens, you think shit is gonna pull itself together? Yea, eventually. But this is set when the zombies are still roaming and there hasn't been time for a monetary system or safe-zones. Sure, if a group of players set up a no-fire zone around Berezino, good for them, that's fucking amazing actually. But they shouldn't implement a no-fire spawn zone, because imagine you wake up on a beach with nothing, and some psychotic human killer runs up with a hatchet. You don't get spawn protection because in the REAL world, you wouldn't get wake-up protection. You don't get special perks for playing a different way because in the REAL world you would still be able to run the same speed and get hit by bullets exactly the same as everyone else. Jesus people, this is a SIMULATION, not a GAME. You play for hardcore realism or you go get WarZ. EDIT: Sorry for bad grammar, it's late. EDIT2: Inb4 YOU DON'T HAS TO PLAY WITH 3rd person!!!11! I know that. I'm saying that this is a simulation and is meant to be a hyper-realistic event. Therefore, 3rd person should be removed as it is not something possible in real life.
  18. Also, based on many of your replies, you guys have convinced me that this was meant to be a simulation but instead wound up as a hardcore game. It SHOULD be as realistic as possible, but I guess there are some barriers you cannot cross with a game...
  19. For all of you saying zombies aren't in real life: they're not zombies, they're infected people. They're still alive, they just have a virus of some sort. Realism.

    Seriously, "most realistic zombie game in the world," but you still don't get infected if you're bit by a zombie? I think that if a zombie hits you until you fall on the ground and start bleeding out, and it starts to take bites out of you, that your character should get infected and turn into a zombie after all of your blood runs out. So only after you are fainted and screaming you start zombification. Your blood drains at the same rate as though you are normally sick, only the blood doesn't stop at 6k, you just keep going until you die and become a zombie (AI controlled, not player controlled). The infection is incurable by antibiotics, although antibiotics should slow the infection so you have more time to get your gear in a safe place or something. Anyone else agree? EDIT: To clarify, you DO NOT walk around as a zombie. You die and respawn and your body walks around until someone kills it for the loot or it despawns.

    Well, not if you're smart/well prepared. And like it's been said before, viruses mutate and form different strands of the virus. You can't be immune forever.

    My friend headshot me with his glock as a test. I took no damage. He put 10 more shots in and I only had shock.
  24. But that's the thing, players can do that, I've seen it happen. This is supposed to be before anybody had time to set up a safe zone though, so it takes out the realism of getting shot no matter where you are for a can of beans.
