If a zombie hits you AFTER YOU'RE KNOCKED OUT. Being hit standing up would just make the game too hard, and a real zombie would try to knock you down first if you're running away.

After finally being convinced by the Internet, I looked up Iron Maiden. It is now my DayZ music.

Nothing. I have found everything in the game where it is supposed to spawn. I've been playing since June 5th. EDIT: June 23rd.

So I became a hero a while back. My friends were still bandits though. So I went to our camp, shot the only person there with my AS50, and blew up all of their vehicles but stole an Offroad Pickup for myself. Unfortunately, I got the bandit skin because of the massive damage the AS50 did to that guy. I betrayed my own friends to save other people's lives. And got it on video, will put it up in a few days. What's your hero story?

Also, they're all heroes now. Except for 2 motherfuckers who didn't want to leave behind the "Dupe 'n' Snipe" lifestyle.

I killed ONE person, but blew up all their shit because they're bandits. They literally drive down to Kamenka and Cherno and wait for unarmed people to spawn so they can shoot them with their duped AS50s. They just reset the server and got it all back anyways.

I was a bandit. I just killed everything I came across. Anything. I was so blind, though. I never thought being like this, like them, what I considered NORMAL, would be so much better. A few days ago, I vowed on my beans to change my ways. I was an inspired person, just by looking at the epicness of the hero skin. With the help of friends and some friendly survivors in Elektro, I bloodbagged my way from -22k humanity to 5k. Once I had the skin, I ran around Cherno with a hatchet trying to bandit kill. That didn't go over well, so I grabbed a Winchester and an Alice pack and went to my clan's camp. Didn't get much there, but I helped them for a few days. That sidetracked my heroism. TODAY I went on a loot circle from Stary to the NWAF, hitting 3 heli sites on the way. I picked up an AS50, only to switch it out for an M24 later that day. Once I was geared, M24, all tools, Coyote pack, med supplies, food, water, ready to HELP people, I went back to Cherno. There, going through a field about 1 kilo north of the city, I got sniped by an AS50. I heard the clicks, and was lucky enough to spawn in Prigorodki. I ran in, grabbed my gear off my body, and ran back. I circled Vysota, the only possible other sniper position they could use, and wound up 10 meters behind them. Heart racing, but I've learned not to shake my hands when that happens anymore. I'd never used a grenade before. Never, not even practice throws with flares. I took a shot in the dark with it and ran like hell. When I went back after the explosion, they were both KO'd. I aimed, and shot with my M24. They both died. My first bandit kills. They had the L85 I was looking for. I was ready to bandit hunt. But.... I couldn't resist the urge. I took the AS50 TWS they were using. They had to have stolen it off of a hacker, and not be hackers themselves, because one of the 2 only had basic gear. Rocket once said that if you don't spawn it in, it's fair game though... Their friend spawned right in front of me and started shooting me. (Idiot, heroes don't take 9mm bullets) With an M9. I just sat there and let him pump in the shots. He said over direct chat "WTF ARE YOU" whenever his 30 shots to the face didn't kill me. I said, "I'm Cherno's salvation." and shot him in the knee. He KO'd, I ran away with my newly acquired guns and am now counter-sniping in Cherno. Being the Hero is a tough job, but somebody has gotta do it. This has been the wildest Day I have ever lived. I fucking love being a Hero. I saved at least 15 people from those AS50s today. If I could have recorded it, I would have, but I have a horrible laptop incapable of handling fraps and DayZ. You, that bandit that camps the coast with an AS50 and rangefinders. If I see you camping MY town, I'll kill you. Nobody gets past this hero, at least nobody that kills unarmed players on the coast. Enjoy your One-Shot-One-Kill while you can, because you'll be my One-Shot soon enough. :D

If you're a hero, above 5k humanity, you don't take damage from 9mm rounds. So almost any side-arm is useless.

I decided a few days ago that I wanted to switch sides from bandit to hero. I've got a guy helping me with that later today. After that, I'll help my friends convert their skins (gonna be a bit harder, they're all -200k). Once we're all good guys and have denounced our bandit ways, we will find a HEAVILY populated server. I'm talking one that's always full. We'll then find the Ural or V3S, and I mean MERCILESSLY search for it, and start a trading caravan. We'll have a couple of other vehicles driving with it as guards, and anytime we go down south to set up the trading post we will set it up in front of Cap Golova. Don't know how that will play out, probably not good because AS50 bandit sniper asshole will come destroy all of our efforts. Assuming the 1.7.2.6 update comes today like Rocket plans, I'll put things in motion for this plan to become a reality on our server US 3036.

Seems like there's many different choices as to what you can "be" in DayZ. It really is YOUR story. Up until now I've been a bandit, robbing and killing mercilessly. Now though, I'm going to try to be a hero.

Arma 2 is one of the most graphically intense games out there (with it up all the way), so I'm thinking that they can't improve on the actual graphics much. Animations are being worked on though.

I think the Humanity should stay, as it tells you where you're at and how much you have to do to fix it. I think the bandit and hero skins should be made optional, like you find them like ghillie suits and camo clothing. By stats I mean running faster if you have above 5k humanity, and players' hearts racing when they see you if you have negative humanity. Stats don't come with the skins, just with humanity.

And I need help. I need 1 or a few good people to come to Cherno Hospital with me so I can raise my -23k humanity up to 5k. I want to help people. I want to change. And being a hero is my first step. Anyone want to help? And by help, I mean get hit by zombies from inside the hospital while I hit you with as many bloodbags as I can.

Oh.... Well my hopes and dreams of getting a fresh start are crushed. I dunno, the votes were pretty high.... maybe some devs saw it....

Well, next update there's going to be a database wipe. Clean slate to start with. Plus the standalone coming out either next month or November. I'm just trying to get to the REAL players of DayZ, you guys. Most bandits are just KoS CoD players.
