Even if the shots did activate his combat timer there is another way to get out without consequences. Some guys were bragging about it on a servers ts and were then banned for it. Basically a player can get out by going onto the server control menu which is located in the map. On most servers when a normal player tries to acess this they are kicked by battleye, so no punishment is recieved for leaving the game during combat. Their is a way to quickly enter this with a key binding without being kicked but I can't remember what it is. This is probably what he used to get out.

I wouldn't sit by a road because that would get very boring fast. The better places to wait are the places with military loot such as Stary or NW af.

If you download dayz commander form http://www.dayzcommander.com/ then you will find it much easier. It allows you to launch directly to each map without changing any file paths. You can look up a tutorial on youtube if you need help using it but its fairly easy.

No, I pretty sure there was a mod for single player dayz by anther modder a while ago but I think there was some issues between him and the devs or something (Not really sure) so it was never officially supported, so I wouldn't download it but its probably out on the internet somewhere.

What are you using to launch this? It sounds like you did a manual download, install and launch of the map. This could mean that the shortcut that you normally use for chernarus is pathed to the taviana map fiels so is not launching correctly. If this is the case I recommend using dayz commander since it will sort the files out for you.

Yes but after the server restarts shoudn't it have triggered the script, we were stuck on the oil rig for about 20 mins before killing ourselves so wouldn't it have triggered by then?

I saw in the new 1.7.4 patch notes that the l85 AWS has been removed. Since I had found one before then I still have the gun now post patch. I wanted to know if I will be banned or kicked from servers from having this weapon or if it is best to just drop it. I am sure some server admins would assume it would be hacked in and kick/ban me if they saw it so I just wanted to ask if there would be any repercussions for having this gun. Thanks

Yh I had the same problem. Me and a mate flew out there while on one of the oil rigs the server restarted unanounced and the heli was destroyed when we got back in so we were stuck, all because of some military spawns that weren't there.

If its 215 in the furthest right column then that is your characters zombie kills, and I believe that you are ranked 35th in zombie kills out of everyone who has been on that server since the last server restart.

When I logged into my character just now I was prompeted with the new create character screen and I spawned fresh on the south coast. I do not understand this since when I logged out I was safely in a tree near the north of Grishino. I'm not sure if this is to do with the fact that just before I logged off my character's leg broke when I lay down next to the tree. I managed to bandage but I am not sure wheather this would kill me. If someone could just respond so that I don't make the mistake again otherwise I am not sure why it happened. Thanks.

No I was on the same server because I was playing on the home server my group uses(which is hive). An update of the situation, I logged back in today after gathering some stuff yesterday with nothing and back on the coast again, although this time I got a map as well which doesn't make sense since it is a hive server. I didn't mind so much that I lost my stuff but now my chracters are deleted everytime I log out overnight I guess I will stop playing until standalone. If anyone has any help or if any of the devs have any suggestions please reply. Update: I spawned in again later and I had been moved to cherno and had an MK Mod 0 with 4 mags and a bunch of stuff I didn't have before. Again if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.

I didn't think that the mod players were getting a discount. Where did you here that?

I assume that you heard that dayz is set in 2017 because of This PC Gamer article about the mod for dayz that is set in 2017 (5 years on from dayz present) and so has older character amd vehicle models. Also if you read the article the whole point is not to have overpowered military gear like you're suggesting. Anyway this would never be implemented in dayz because there are enough issues with the game without adding squads of flying drones patrolling the map while the pilot is hiding in his camp.

Finally an intelligent comment about the hacking problem, shame more people don't understand this.
