I really think that DayZ needs a water purification system for 2 reasons : 1. I find that water can are abundant which is not an issue but to balance the too great benefits of have water can would be that water has a chance (like 25%) of being contaminated and you need to have some water purifier (tabs of some sort maybe 4 per package) to purify your water. So people without tabs could still take a chance drinking water from a lake without it being 100% chance of getting sick. 2. It would imo augment the sense of survival in the game, because right now we have zombies, dehydration, starvation and bandits that can keep you from surviving in DayZ. Still I belive that DayZ needs to have some features to enhance the survival and fragility of your life feel. P.4. : sorry if already suggested, on my phone can't do forum search.

Since the last patch there is no more starting weapon. You need to get away from the main cities and try looting smaller settlements or deer stands until you find one. Usually if you are not running aimlessly without watching where you step you should get one fast and easily.

I started playing DayZ a week ago, I had almost never opened my Arma II game and was pretty much learning the control when I made my first survivor and I lived for about 10-12 hours on this character. (before climbing in a deer stand and being thrown out of it and breaking my bones and bleeding out to my death). On subsequent lives, I got shoot and even killed by other survivor for no f***ing reason right in the middle of a field far from everything with not even a gun! I found that stupid and after multiple encounters with other survivors, none of which attempted to talk before they shoot, I realized that the problem is not that the difficulty curve is broken (it needs adjustments tho), but rather that people just don't want to communicate and find that the real challenge of a zombie survival game is more about fighting real people with guns than zombies. Sad but true.

How many people have a guillie suit equipped?

What would be the best way to communicate with survivors that are close to me (me hiding inside a house, them outside shooting Z)? I want them not to shoot me when they come in? Is there a private chat or something?

Today I am regrouping with my friend, so I'll make him go to some deer stand since it will be less dangerous and if he can't find any we will risk going inside cherno. We have some good gear and the only thing missing is morphine.

Next time you spawn near Kamenka, go north right away there is a lot of deer stand and they have great loot, military, food. Not so though to spot and the 2-3 zombies around them are too easy to avoid. Then go to cherno it will be easier.

I have a broken leg and I'm lost in the middle of the wood near the bor(?) castle. I was wondering if what the wiki says is up-to-date. It says that morphine can spawn anywhere but farms and since the castle has a lot of lot I was wondering if it is worth a shot or I should crawl to cherno and risk it all to get to a hospital?
