I'd assume whoever was in it would just try to shoot me down, but they decided to crash it into my bus and blow me to SMITHEROONS. italics are fun

Instead of spending two fuckin' hours trying to get in, why didn't you try a few times, which shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes to realize that something is wrong, then try again later?

I don't quite understand why you guys don't think ANYONE is friendly. I've made at least 3 friends in a few weeks by just talking to them in-game and teaming up. If you find someone in-game, and you find that they might be friendly, ask them if they would like to team up, and ask them for their steam name. They'll be much less willing to shoot you if you have them befriended on steam. Also, speaking (w/ a microphone, not text) over direct comms will also reduce the chance of you getting shot in the back. When you hear someone talking to you, it makes you feel like that character is a real person. I don't think anyone in this game would be willing to shoot someone in real life over just loot.

You guys have to understand that the dayz dev team can't just create a bunch of weapons from scratch, they can only use the weapons from ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead iirc. EDIT: Yeah, herp, not quite sure if this is true or not.

What I personally think would solve this problemo would be to nerf EVERY FUCKING THING's spawn chances. M4s to NVGs, fuckin enfield to a CZ550. I think if it was fucking HARD to get loot, people would actually play smarter, and stop creating QQ threads, as every 1 in 1,000 people would have NVGs or an L85 or any other bullshit weapon. You would actually take a look around your surroundings and try fucking hard to survive with your M1911 that took you a whole week to find. Sounds to me like it would even make the game more realistic, who the fuck finds NATO weapons in a zombie apocalypse? Of course this would ramp up the number of bandits there are, this would probably calm all "ZOMG OP WEPON PLS NERF" qqing bastards. Just my 2 cents.
