Tonic is working on another project. I'm not sure of his standing in the Day Z team, so I won't make any comment on that. All I know is that he has something else on the go, so maybe that could be why he may have fallen behind. This is my opinion, and nothing to do with the Day Z Staff team.

Someone was kicked for the same reason from my server the other day. It is not a ban, but I'm not sure what causes it either. Could be a similar reason to the #16 kicks.

Your character will still be there when you log in next time, even after re-install. All the info is saved on a central database.

Strangely enough, mine has been up since DayZ week 2. The only time my server has been mentioned on these forums is when we had to change to the new server naming convention and people thought the server had been pulled.

I can't remember the last time I played on my server (let alone any). I only go on there to make sure the updates are working, which is when other players are on, and it is never locked. Some hosts do feel the need to cheat others out of loot by locking/passwording servers, but what you do need to realise is that there are some good ones that are here and hosting for the whole of the Day Z community.

Some servers do have Choppers remaining if they were originally there and not found. With the update, only land vehicles were added, leaving previous choppers on servers that had them in place.

End of the day, Rocket owes us nothing. He created this mod in what I can only guess was his spare time. He made a gentlemans agreement with Kronzky, who went bad on that agreement, which was followed by Rocket withdrawing from that agreement, which is his right. Let the two of them deal with it as they should, as it was an agreement between those 2, and nobody else.

I won't upload them in-case they fall into public hands, as they are part of the server signing files. As I say, If you want them, contact a dev. If you are a "legit host" you will know where to get them. At no point will I put anything to do with the server side of this mod in a public section of a forum. As I've said, if you are a legit host, you will know who to contact, and where to contact them

If you're a legit host, you know where to look. Contact the staff on IRC, or by email.

I haven't found any other skins in-game, or vehicles for that matter. Does that mean they're not there? Ohh noooo

Do you want the server you play on to remain stable, with Zombies and loot spawning, or do you want a map with absolutely nothing on it, except 50 players complaining about no loot/zombies and killing everything in sight? We have to restart our servers to keep things working. Sometimes we may not give notice, as its simply quicker to restart it, sometime we do give warnings. You lose what... maybe 5 minutes of progress? Other times, Monitor restarts the server for whatever reason, and sometimes it just plain crashes. I agree with what a couple of hosts here have said, they warn on restart, and I do try, unless its something that needs to be addressed quickly. Edit: If after a server restarts and the time is different, it could be that HiveAuth hasn't synced the time properly, or that the server host has changed the time on his box. When a server has been up for a while, time will desync, causing the possible issue you have seen, with time in-game being 1725 for example, when in real time, its 1925. Maybe simple time desync.

So you're making your own rules, when there is already a clear set of rules that even us server hosts must stick to? Can't be done, and if you continue, your IP will most likely be blacklisted.

"free guaranteed slot"? Even with all the servers for this mod, you are not guaranteed a slot. I host 2 servers, even I am not guaranteed a slot. Do I pay for the server? Yes I do. Am I bothered if I get to play on my own servers? No I am not. I will gladly go and play elsewhere if my servers are full. All the people moaning about how they want a guaranteed slot on their own server need to realise that this mod is currently in a major phase of testing. The decent hosts have donated their servers to assist with the testing and development of this mod, and also allowing people to enter our servers for the purpose of testing. People need to realise what an alpha test is, and stop demanding so much in such an early phase.

Personal opinion, but I'd gladly switch from from NFO to HA. Heard a lot of bad things about NFO. If you don't like what you get, you can always go back to NFO. Jonnerz has done his research and experimenting to find how to run his servers best. This man CAN be trusted. Not often I say that, but if I didnt havn an amazing deal for my current box, I would gladly switch over.

We did hear shooting, we weren't sure where it was coming from. I was the one in a bandit skin. (shows not all bandits are bad :P )
